Probably not. On the WoW: Forever podcast (episode 3, October 8, 2026), Blizzard Senior Game Designer Jay Hartman said Forever will "probably" not have dungeon maps, because the team wants dungeons to feel like exploration rather than a shortest-route run. Nothing is final yet: the beta runs until October 21 and Forever launches November 4, 2026.

Why is Blizzard leaving out dungeon maps?
It's a design choice, not a missing feature. Hartman explained that the team wants players to learn a dungeon's layout by walking it. If you have an instance map, the best route gets solved on day one and every run turns into the same sprint. Other Forever designers have said something similar: Senior Game Designer Rowan Ryder wants dungeons to be worth repeating without grinding them being the best way to play.

Nobody knows yet. Forever addons run on the Modern client API, but Blizzard hasn't said whether it will block or allow map addons for instances. Until it does, don't plan your leveling around a map addon working on November 4.
Which Forever dungeons will be hardest to learn without a map?
The non-linear ones. On the beta, Ruins of Lordaeron (Blizzard lists it at 15–20, Wowhead at 16–23) has six bosses you can kill in any order, hidden secrets and dense trash. At the top end, Wowhead reads a developer's "Hold our beer(s)" reply as a hint that one end-game dungeon, probably Blackmaw Hold, will be a sprawling Blackrock Depths-style mega dungeon. That's Wowhead's reading, not a confirmed fact, but if it's true, learning that dungeon without a map will take real time.
Does no map make dungeon leveling slower?
Your first runs will be slower. Blizzard is speeding up the XP side, though. The October 8 beta notes raised experience from dungeon kills by about 20% and fixed the party XP penalty so it uses each player's own level again. Josh Greenfield said that with perfect play, dungeon leveling should come very close to the best questing speed. Once you know the layout, you can just run it.
How to get around without an instance map
- Run each new dungeon with at least one player who has done it before. You can use the Recent Allies window to group with them again.
- Choose the "Learning" playstyle tag in the group finder so your group expects a slower, exploratory run.
- Remember landmarks: boss rooms, forks and quest-giver spots. Most layouts become automatic after two or three clears.
- Bring crowd control. Threat and CC still matter in Forever dungeons, and pulling an extra pack by mistake is easy when you don't know the layout.
