Midnight's campaign skip unlocks account-wide once any one character finishes the full campaign. After that, every other max-level character can take a short skip quest from the campaign quest-giver in the expansion's main hub instead of replaying the story. Your first character has to run it properly — there is no purchasable skip and no bypass on a fresh account.

  • Requirement: one character on your account has completed the Midnight campaign to its final chapter.
  • Who can use it: alts at the expansion's level cap, on either faction, on any realm tied to the same Battle.net account.
  • Where: the main expansion hub, from the same NPC who hands out the opening campaign quest — the skip replaces the normal chapter one.
  • Cost: free. It is a quest, not a store item and not a token.
  • Time: a few minutes of talking and a short cinematic-style handoff, versus several hours for the full run.
  1. Finish the campaign on your main, all the way through the last chapter — not just the first zone.
  2. Log onto the alt you want to skip on and reach the expansion's level cap.
  3. Fly to the main hub and look for the campaign quest marker on the minimap.
  4. Accept the skip version of the intro quest and turn it in.
  5. You are dropped straight into the endgame chapters: world content, weekly hubs, dungeon and raid access.

Can I skip the campaign on my first character?

No. Every expansion since Legion has gated the skip behind one clean completion, and Midnight follows that pattern. If nobody on your account has finished the story, the skip quest simply is not offered — the NPC gives you the normal opening chapter instead.

Does skipping lock me out of anything?

Mostly no, but check two things. Campaign-completion achievements and any meta that asks for specific chapters usually still want the full run, and skipped chapters can leave story-gated cosmetics unclaimed on that character. Gear, dungeon and raid access, and the endgame hubs are unaffected.

Worth noting: I can't confirm Midnight's exact skip NPC or quest name here, and Blizzard has renamed these between expansions. Treat the hub quest marker as the source of truth rather than a name from an older guide.

Do I still get Renown and reputation if I skip?

Renown is a separate track from the campaign, so skipping does not erase progress — but it also does not grant it. Alts benefit from account-wide Renown catch-up on the expansion's factions, so you start well above zero and earn the rest through world content, weekly quests and events.

What should I do right after skipping?

Get your item level moving before the weekly reset burns. The usual order: world quests and the weekly hub for a gear floor, then normal or heroic dungeons, then your first Mythic+ keys. Once you're clearing a +10 comfortably, the seasonal raid tier becomes realistic.
