Yes — Blessing of Kings, Divine Spirit and Improved Mark of the Wild are baseline in WoW: Forever. Blizzard confirmed it at the Forever Deep Dive panel at BlizzCon on September 13, 2026. Paladins, Priests and Druids get these group buffs without spending a single talent point, so nobody has to build around raid buff coverage any more.
Quick facts
- Blessing of Kings — baseline for Paladins. In original Classic it sat at the bottom of the Retribution tree as a 31-point talent.
- Divine Spirit — baseline for Priests. In original Classic it was a 21-point Discipline talent.
- Improved Mark of the Wild — baseline for Druids. In original Classic it was a 5-point Restoration talent.

- Not published: the level each buff is learned at, whether the numbers change, and whether other classes' buffs get the same treatment.
- Talent trees: same three rows per class, milestone tiers at 11, 21 and 31 points, plus a new 16-point milestone. Blizzard says talents are moving away from +1–2% filler picks.
Why these three buffs specifically
In original Classic, each of these buffs was locked behind a talent investment that competed with the spec players actually wanted. A raid that wanted Kings needed a Paladin deep in Retribution; a raid that wanted Divine Spirit needed a Priest at least 21 points into Discipline; Druids gave up five Restoration points for a stronger Mark. Guilds ended up assigning 'buff bot' builds, and the players stuck with them rarely enjoyed it.
Making the buffs baseline removes that tax. Every Paladin brings Kings, every Priest brings Divine Spirit, every Druid brings the improved Mark, regardless of spec. It fits the wider Forever philosophy Blizzard described: every class and specialization is being revamped, and talent trees are meant to hold meaningful choices rather than mandatory picks.

Unknown. Blizzard has only said the three buffs are baseline; no numbers were published for Forever. Assume the general effect (Kings scales all stats, Divine Spirit adds Spirit, Improved Mark strengthens Mark of the Wild) but do not assume Classic's exact percentages carry over unchanged. Beta runs September 17 to October 21, 2026, capped at level 30, so early tooltips will surface there.
What does this mean for Paladins?
Paladins are the one class with a published toolkit, and Kings being baseline frees their Retribution tree for actual damage talents: Vindication, Sacred Arbiter, Champion of the Light (spell damage from Intellect), Instrument of the Law (instant Holy Wrath) and Twist of Light for Seal twisting. Holy and Protection Paladins no longer have to choose between their role and bringing the raid's stat buff. Alongside that, Holy Strike arrives at level 6, Seals are no longer consumed by Judgment, Seal of Fury is the Protection tanking Seal, and Consecration is baseline at 20.
Are other class buffs baseline too?
Blizzard has not said. Only these three buffs were named, and Paladin is the only class with published ability details. It would be natural for Blizzard to look at other talent-gated group buffs, but nothing has been confirmed, so treat any list beyond Kings, Divine Spirit and Improved Mark of the Wild as speculation.
Do campfire buffs stack with class buffs?
No. Forever's Camping system lets profession players add crafted objects to a Basic Campfire — a Blacksmith Sharpening Wheel for Attack Power, a Tailor Faction Banner for Spirit, an Herbalist Incense Candle for Intellect. Blizzard describes these as variants of class buffs that do not stack with them. They cover a group that lacks the right class; they do not add on top of Kings or Divine Spirit.
Can I get talent points earlier in Forever?
Yes, through the Legacy system. The account-wide Adventure tree includes a perk called Talented, which starts talent points at level 9 instead of 10. The total stays at 51, so it is a small head start, not extra power. Legacy points come from Legacy Challenges and are shared across alts; at launch each character can spend up to 16, and up to 65 can be earned.
