World of Warcraft: Forever launches on November 4, 2026 without player housing. Blizzard's announced Forever systems are Camping, Legacy perks, opt-in transmog and toggleable HD/SD graphics — no houses, plots or decor. The housing figurines bundled in the Warcraft Forever Collection are decor for Modern WoW, which is the only version of the game with a housing system today.
Quick facts: housing and WoW: Forever
- Player housing in Forever: not announced. It appears nowhere in Blizzard's BlizzCon 2026 feature list for Forever.
- Housing figurines: included only in the Warcraft Forever Collection (sold until January 11, 2027). They are housing decor, and housing lives in Modern WoW.
- Forever's outdoor equivalent: Camping — you craft campfires in the open world, build a campsite other players can join, and get tradeskill buffs there.
- What Forever does ship with: three new zones, 1,000+ quests, nine new dungeons, two new raids, the Skyborne race, a Legacy perk tree, no flying, no level scaling, level cap fixed at 60.
- Access: included with an active subscription or Game Time. The Skyborne race needs the Skyborne Heroic Pack (€29.99) or higher.
- Key dates: beta September 17 – October 21; name reservation October 27 – November 3; launch November 4 at 3 p.m. Pacific; raids open December 9.
Why does the Warcraft Forever Collection include housing figurines if Forever has no housing?
Because the Collection is a bundle that spans Blizzard's whole Warcraft lineup, not a Forever-only kit. Alongside the Forever perks (Skyborne race, Zephras Isle start, beta, name reservation, 30 days of game time, mount, pets, tabards, three invite codes) it adds Warcraft III: Reforged, the Forsaken Kingdom campaign and the housing figurines. Housing is a Modern WoW feature, so that is where figurine decor is usable.
Blizzard has not published exactly how the figurines are delivered, so treat the specifics as unknown until they say more. What you can rely on: buying the Collection does not add a house, a plot or a decor tab to your Forever characters.
Will Classic Plus get housing later?
Nothing on the roadmap says so. "Classic Plus" is community shorthand for Forever, and the published post-launch plan covers spring 2027 (two raids, two dungeons, a new legendary questline, new playable area, PvP refresh) and summer 2027 (a revamped iconic raid, another new raid, two more dungeons, profession and Legacy updates). Housing is not on either list.
The Classic team did say "nothing is off the table" about future additions, but that was about the class roster, not housing. Read the absence as "not planned right now" rather than "ruled out forever."
What is Camping in WoW: Forever, and is it the housing replacement?
Camping is the closest thing Forever has to a personal space, but it is a world system, not a home. You craft a campfire outdoors, set up a campsite, and other players can join it for tradeskill buffs. It is social and temporary by design — think of it as a shared rest stop rather than a decoratable building.
Details beyond that (crafting costs, buff values, how long a site lasts) were not published at announcement, so anyone quoting exact numbers is guessing.
What do you actually get from the Skyborne packs?
The Skyborne Heroic Pack (€29.99 on the EU Battle.net shop) unlocks the Skyborne elven race and its Zephras Isle 1–12 starting zone, early name reservation, the Cerulean Prideclaw ground mount, cosmetics and one Invite-A-Friend launch code. The Epic Pack adds beta access (capped at level 30), 30 days of game time from November 4, more cosmetics, tabards, pets and three invite codes. The Collection adds the Warcraft III content and the housing figurines on top.
Skyborne are not neutral: Windshaper joins the Horde, High Order joins the Alliance. All Skyborne can be Warrior, Hunter, Rogue or Druid; Horde Skyborne add Shaman, Alliance Skyborne add Mage.
