There is no verified honor-per-hour figure for WoW: Forever yet: Blizzard has confirmed the Honor system is changed, but has not published the numbers. What is confirmed: the original battlegrounds return next to the new 15v15 Darkspear Islands, and the Legacy perk For Great Honor adds +2% Honor per rank. Your real rate will hinge on queue times, win rate and which ruleset you play on.
What Blizzard has confirmed about Honor in Forever
| Honor system | Changed from Classic. Exact values per kill, win or loss: not published. |

What will actually set your honor per hour
- Win rate. Whatever the new numbers turn out to be, a battleground you win will pay better than one you lose. A group that wins fast and re-queues beats a solo queue stuck in long games.
- Queue times. Honor per hour counts the minutes you spend waiting. Four battlegrounds at launch, factions kept separate, and per-ruleset ecosystems all shape how quickly queues pop.
- For Great Honor. Each rank is +2%. Small on its own, but it multiplies every hour you play.
- Ruleset. On the PvP ruleset, world PvP is always on; on Normal, PvP happens only by mutual consent. Whether outdoor kills feed the same Honor pool as battlegrounds has not been detailed.
Can I use Classic honor-per-hour numbers as a forecast?
Not as a forecast. Blizzard stated plainly that the Honor system is changed, so any spreadsheet built for Classic or Season of Discovery describes a different game. Old numbers can tell you the shape of the grind — wins matter more than losses, premades outpace pugs — but not the rate in Forever.
The honest answer today: treat every honor-per-hour figure you see for Forever as a guess until the game is live and players have logged real sessions.
Which battleground will be best for honor?
Nobody can rank them yet. The three original maps return with the same basic objectives, and The Darkspear Islands is the wildcard: 15 players a side, several capture points, a format closer to Eye of the Storm than to Warsong Gulch. Larger teams usually mean more fights per minute, but until Blizzard shows the Honor values for each map, that is an educated hunch, not a fact.
How much does For Great Honor really add?
The perk lives in the Resourcefulness tree and gives +2% Honor per rank. Legacy points come from completing Legacy Challenges — up to 65 can be earned and each character can spend up to 16 at launch. Points are account-wide across rulesets, with one exception: Hardcore progress flows out but nothing flows in.
Because each character spends points separately, a PvP main can put its 16 into For Great Honor and other useful perks while an alt goes for profession or leveling bonuses. The maximum rank of For Great Honor has not been published.
Can I start farming honor before November 4?
No. The beta runs September 17 to October 21 and caps characters at level 30 — good for testing, not for building rank. Early name reservation opens October 27, and the live game starts November 4, 3 p.m. Pacific. The first PvP season refresh is planned for Spring 2027, so honor earned from launch day builds toward the opening season.
If you would rather spend your evenings in the battleground than in the queue, PewPewShop takes Forever PvP pre-orders until launch: Forever Honor Farming by the hour from EUR 16, Forever Battleground Wins (WSG, AB, AV) from EUR 13, and Darkspear Islands Wins from EUR 15. Every order is played by vetted human players — no bots, no cheats, a long zero-ban record — and you can book it as play-together sessions with a rank-experienced teammate who also coaches you on positioning and target calls along the way.
