Keystone Master requires 2,000 Mythic+ rating in the current season. There is no fixed key level attached to it — only the score total matters. Your rating comes from your best timed run in each dungeon of the seasonal pool, which in practice means clearing roughly the +10 band across the board. The achievement and its reward are seasonal and reset when the season ends.
How the 2,000 actually adds up
- Your seasonal score is the sum of your best result in every dungeon in the current pool — one weak dungeon drags the whole number down.
- Each key level above the last is worth more points, and finishing inside the timer adds a bonus on top. Beating the timer with time to spare is worth more than scraping in at the last second.
- A timed run somewhere in the +9 to +11 range in every dungeon puts most players at or just past 2,000. Push two or three of your comfortable dungeons a level higher and you cover the ones you struggle with.
- Only the character's own runs count. Rating is per character, not account-wide.
- Rating never goes down. A bad week costs you time, not score.

What key level do I need for Keystone Master?
None specifically. The old "time every dungeon at +15" rule was replaced by the rating system, so a player who times +12s in half the pool and +8s in the rest can land in the same place as someone who does a flat sweep of +10s.
If you want a simple target: time every dungeon in the pool at +10. That is the cleanest route to 2,000, and it doubles as the level that unlocks each dungeon's teleport — a separate, permanent reward that is earned per dungeon rather than from the 2,000 total.
What mount does Keystone Master give?
Each season attaches its own reward to the Keystone Master line — usually a season-exclusive mount or recolor, sometimes paired with a title. Blizzard moves the exact reward between the 2,000 and 2,500 tiers from season to season, so open the achievement in-game and read the reward text for the season you are playing rather than trusting an old guide.
What is consistent: these rewards are time-limited. Once the season closes, that season's Keystone Master mount stops dropping into the game and does not come back.
Does my rating reset every season?
Yes. Score wipes to zero at the start of each new season, the dungeon pool changes, and the achievement is re-earned under the new season's name. Keystone Master you already have stays on your account permanently — you just cannot earn last season's version again.
Do failed or depleted keys count?
An over-time completion still awards rating, just noticeably less than a timed one, and it is normally not enough to carry you to 2,000 on its own. Abandoned runs give nothing. Since only your best result per dungeon counts, a bad key costs you nothing but the run itself.
If you would rather not grind eight dungeons up to the +10 band on a schedule, PewPewShop can help: rating help starts from EUR 45, and a single timed +10 in a dungeon you keep failing starts from EUR 19.98.
