The fastest route to Consortium reputation in TBC is to run Mana-Tombs in Auchindoun and turn in Nagrand drops at Aeris Landing. Normal Mana-Tombs stops giving rep at Honored. Heroic Mana-Tombs keeps paying all the way to Exalted. The 42,000 reputation from Neutral to Exalted usually takes a week or two of steady play.

Step by step: Neutral to Exalted

  1. Do every Consortium quest while leveling. The chains at Aeris Landing in Nagrand and the many ethereal quests in Netherstorm give thousands of free reputation. Don't skip them.
  2. Run Normal Mana-Tombs until it stops paying. Each full clear gives a good chunk of rep until Honored. Group up while you're doing Auchindoun quests anyway.
  3. Turn in Obsidian Warbeads. The ogre camps of Nagrand drop them. Hand them in at Aeris Landing in stacks of ten. This turn-in keeps working at the higher reputation levels, so it's a good solo option.
  4. Finish with Heroic Mana-Tombs. Once you're Honored, Heroic is the main source of rep up to Exalted. You'll need the Auchindoun Heroic key from Lower City at Revered. In the Anniversary version, that key can be bought at Revered as a Bind-on-Account item, so one alt's work covers your whole account.

Is Mana-Tombs or warbead farming faster?

If you have a group, Heroic Mana-Tombs is faster. It's a short dungeon, and a clean clear gives far more rep per hour than farming ogres. Warbeads are better when you're playing solo, or when you're already in Nagrand farming cloth or Kurenai/Mag'har rep. Many players combine both: warbeads in the gaps, dungeons when a group comes together.

What do Consortium rewards give you?

The quartermaster at the Stormspire sells jewelcrafting designs and some solid gear and consumables. Higher reputation levels unlock better items. Jewelcrafters get the most out of this faction. For other players it's mostly a collection goal. Note that the Consortium does not sell a Heroic dungeon key. That key comes from Lower City.

Does Consortium rep affect other factions?

No. This faction has no rival: unlike Aldor and Scryers, earning Consortium rep costs you nothing elsewhere. Mana-Tombs runs also advance Auchindoun quests, and the Nagrand turn-ins fit neatly around Kurenai or Mag'har grinding.

Should you grind it in Phase 3?

Phase 3 started August 27, 2026, according to Blizzard's announcement. Its draws are Black Temple, Mount Hyjal and the Netherwing faction, so most players spend their time there. Consortium rep is a relaxed side goal. It's worth doing if you're a jewelcrafter, if you want every faction at Exalted, or if you're running Heroics anyway.
