Yes — Battleground Blitz has a rated version. Blitz runs as two separate queues: a casual unrated one and Rated Battleground Blitz, which carries its own personal rating, its own seasonal rank titles and its own Conquest rewards. That rating sits apart from Arena and from 10v10 Rated Battlegrounds, so climbing in Blitz does not move your RBG number.

Does Blitz rating count as Rated Battleground rating?
No — they are two different numbers. Winning in Blitz raises your Blitz rating only; your 10v10 RBG rating stays exactly where you left it, and vice versa. If someone quotes you a rating, ask which bracket it came from.
Seasonal reward tracks are the exception worth knowing about. They generally look at your highest rating across brackets rather than one specific queue, so a strong Blitz season can still unlock season rewards even if you never touch 10v10.
What ranks and titles can you earn in Rated Blitz?
Blitz uses the same rank ladder as the rest of rated PvP: Combatant, then Challenger, Rival, Duelist and Elite, with the long-standing thresholds sitting at 1000, 1400, 1600, 1800 and 2100. Blizzard has adjusted rating requirements between seasons before, so treat those as the shape of the ladder rather than a promise for the current one.
At the very top, Blitz has its own prestige title rather than borrowing Gladiator from Arena. That end-of-season title is handed out by ladder percentage, not a fixed rating, which means the effective cutoff moves depending on how competitive the season is.
Should you play unrated Blitz first?
Usually yes. The unrated queue runs the same maps and the same 8v8 pacing, so it is the cheapest place to learn where the fights actually get decided — which node flips the match, when to peel, when to leave a cap and rotate.
It is also the sane way to build your Honor set before your rating gets recorded. Going in undergeared inflates your early losses and drags your starting rating down, and digging out of a hole is slower than starting flat.
Why does my Blitz rating swing so hard?
Solo queue means eight players per side with no shared plan, so single games swing more than they would with a coordinated group. The fix is volume plus consistency: play your role cleanly, call targets, and judge yourself over a session rather than one loss.
Losing streaks are also often a comp problem, not a skill problem. Blitz throws you whatever roster the queue assembles — some matches are simply unwinnable, and identifying those fast keeps your tilt down.
