Why is Subtlety Rogue being nerfed after 12.1.5?

In the 12.1.5 launch-week patch notes, Subtlety got +14% to all ability damage. Blizzard said that buff was meant to offset changes to Subtlety's Shadow damage modifiers, including cases where those modifiers applied more than once. The developers now say the compensation overshot, so they are cutting 8% back. Trickster's Fazed also drops from 7% to 5%. It was raised to 7% in the October 6 tuning, so this undoes that change.

Blizzard calls it rolling back a significant portion of that buff, not all of it. If you rerolled into Sub for the 12.1.5 burst, expect it to land closer to the pack.

Why is Restoration Druid getting such a big buff?

Blizzard says Restoration is behind other healers in dungeons but doing fine in raids. A 60% increase to Verdancy, plus extra Regrowth and Swiftmend throughput, should help in the Mythic+ dungeons where Resto was falling behind. None of these changes apply in PvP, so arena Druids won't notice them.

Does the Feral Druid buff apply in PvP?

No. The flat +5% to all Feral damage is PvE only. In PvP, Feral numbers stay where they are.

Were there other fixes the same week?

Yes. Hotfixes on October 23 stopped warlock summons and Diabolic Occuli from pulling enemies out of combat, which was the Subtlety Rogue + Warlock "ninja pull" bug. They also fixed the Echoing Maul location in Den of Nalorakk and the Fel Spray area of Nibbles in Murder Row. Items upgraded with Ascendant Venomstones now show the correct item level.
