In TBC Anniversary, cooking runs from 1 to 375. A quick path: Spice Bread to 40, Charred Wolf Meat or Roasted Boar Meat to 85, Coyote Steak or Boiled Clams to 130, then lion, kodo and fish recipes to 300. Outland recipes then carry you to 375, finishing with Crunchy Serpent or Mok'Nathal Shortribs, both grey at 375.
TBC cooking recipes by skill level
The numbers come from the Anniversary client data (build 2.5.6). A recipe is orange (a guaranteed point) below its yellow number. It is yellow or green up to its grey number, and after that it gives no skill at all. "Recipe req." is the skill the recipe item needs before you can learn it. Recipes marked "trainer/quest" have no recipe item.

What are the Outland cooking recipes?
The first Outland recipes start at 300 skill: Buzzard Bites, Ravager Dog, Feltail Delight, Blackened Trout, Broiled Bloodfin, Clam Bar and Stormchops. Above those come Blackened Sporefish and Sporeling Snack (req. 310), Blackened Basilisk (315), Grilled Mudfish and Poached Bluefish (320), and the 325 group: Golden Fish Sticks, Roasted Clefthoof, Talbuk Steak, Warp Burger, Skullfish Soup and Spicy Hot Talbuk. Next are Crunchy Serpent and Mok'Nathal Shortribs (335) and Spicy Crawdad (350). Fisherman's Feast and Hot Buttered Trout have no recipe item and stay orange right up to 375.
Which TBC buff food recipes are worth making?
It depends on your role. Physical damage dealers usually cook Ravager Dog for attack power, or Warp Burger and Grilled Mudfish for agility. Casters use Blackened Basilisk or Crunchy Serpent for spell damage and Skullfish Soup for spell crit. Healers cook Golden Fish Sticks or Poached Bluefish. Tanks and raiders who want stamina pick Spicy Crawdad. For hit rating there is Spicy Hot Talbuk, and for strength, Roasted Clefthoof.
Can I skip old-world cooking and level in Outland?
Not entirely. Almost every Outland recipe item needs 300 skill or more before you can learn it, so you need classic recipes to reach 300 first. After that, Outland meat and fish drop as you level and take you straight to 375.
What is the fastest final stretch to 375?
Crunchy Serpent and Mok'Nathal Shortribs stay yellow until 365 and only turn grey at 375. Since each uses a single meat and no spices, they are the cleanest finish. Spicy Crawdad (req. 350, grey 390) also works if you already fish Furious Crawdads.
