The fastest TBC Anniversary tailoring route is: Bolt of Linen Cloth to 50, Heavy Linen Gloves to 70, Reinforced Linen Cape to 100, then woolen gloves and shoulders to 145. After that, use Azure Silk Hood, Silk Headband and Crimson Silk to 215, Black Mageweave to 260, Runecloth Belt to 300, Netherweave bolts, bags, pants and boots to 355, then Netherweave Tunic and the Imbued Netherweave patterns to 375.
Tailoring route by skill level
The colour numbers come from the Anniversary client data (build 2.5.6). A recipe stays orange below its yellow number. It stops giving points at its grey number, and every stop below ends before that point.

- Train the next rank before you reach each cap (75, 150, 225, 300) or your points stop.
- Make bolts as you go. Bolts give their own points while they are still yellow, and you need hundreds of them anyway.
- Runecloth Belt turns green after 285, so plan extra crafts for the last 15 points.
How do I get from 355 to 375?
With patterns: no trainer recipe gives points past 355. Netherweave Tunic (pattern needs 345; 8 Bolt of Netherweave, 2 Rune Thread) is yellow until 360 and grey at 365. Then Imbued Netherweave Tunic or Robe (patterns need 360; 6 Bolt of Imbued Netherweave, 2 Netherweb Spider Silk, 1 Rune Thread) stays yellow to 375. Arcanoweave Bracers and Boots use Arcane Dust instead.
Which cloth do I need most?
Netherweave Cloth matters most. One bolt takes 6 cloth, and the bags, pants and boots each need 4-6 bolts, so 300-355 uses more cloth than the rest of the route. Most of it drops from humanoids in Outland, so levelling a character there covers a lot of it.
Should I level tailoring while levelling my character?
Yes, if you can. Linen, wool, silk, mageweave and runecloth drop at roughly the levels where you need them, so tailoring while you quest costs little. Buying every bolt from the auction house at 70 is quicker, but it's the most expensive way to do it.
When do I pick a specialisation?
Mooncloth, Shadoweave and Spellfire become available at 350 skill through a specialisation quest. Pick the one that matches the cloth set you want to wear or sell, because each one has its own patterns.
If you'd rather spend your time raiding than at the loom, PewPewShop's vetted players offer coaching and progression help for TBC Anniversary, including character levelling from EUR 25.
