World of Warcraft: Forever launches November 4, 2026 with over 1,000 new quests spread across three new zones — Zephras Isle (the Skyborne start, levels 1–12), the Riverglades (levels 30–45, 150+ quests), Mount Hyjal (endgame) — plus expanded Shen'dralar content around Dire Maul, Maraudon and Razorfen Downs. The level cap stays at 60, and the quests arrive as launch content included with a standard subscription.
Where the new quests are
| Area | Level range | What Blizzard has confirmed |
| Zephras Isle | 1–12 | Floating starting island for the new Skyborne race; requires the Skyborne Heroic Pack or higher to play the race |
| The Riverglades | 30–45 | New Eastern Kingdoms leveling zone, 150+ quests, new reputations, a neutral goblin port |
| Mount Hyjal | Endgame (60) | New endgame zone; home of the Hyjal Summit raid and one of three Barrow Deeps entrances |
| Shen'dralar content | High level | Expanded questing around Dire Maul, Maraudon and Razorfen Downs |
- Total: 1,000+ new quests at launch, per Blizzard's BlizzCon 2026 announcement. The exact split per zone beyond the Riverglades' 150+ has not been published.
- Launch date: November 4, 2026, 3:00 p.m. PST, worldwide.
- Cost: included with an active WoW subscription or Game Time. No separate purchase. Upgrade packs add the Skyborne race, beta access and name reservation, not quest access.
- Beta: September 17 – October 21, 2026, capped at level 30 — so beta testers can see Zephras Isle and the first stretch of the classic 1–30 path, but not the Riverglades or Hyjal.
- No level scaling and no flying, so zones are tied to their level bands and the new quest hubs sit alongside the original ones rather than replacing them.
Is "Classic+" the same thing as WoW: Forever?
Yes, in everyday use. Blizzard's official name is World of Warcraft: Forever — a third experience next to Modern (retail) and Classic, built by the Classic team and set in WoW's first year. Players have been calling this idea "Classic+" for years, and Forever is the version that actually shipped that pitch: the original 1–60 world, kept at level 60 permanently, with new zones, quests and dungeons added through patches instead of expansions.
So when you see "classic plus quests" and "wow forever new quests" used side by side, they point at the same 1,000+ quest pool.
Do the new quests replace the old leveling route?
No. The original zones and their quests are still the backbone of 1–60. The new content plugs into gaps: Zephras Isle is an alternative 1–12 start (Skyborne only), the Riverglades gives 30–45 a fresh route through the Eastern Kingdoms, and Hyjal plus the Shen'dralar quests extend what there is to do at 60. A Human or Orc rolling on day one will still recognise Elwynn Forest and Durotar.
What that means in practice: you can level an alt mostly through the new zones where the level bands overlap, or ignore them entirely and run the classic path. Nothing forces you into the new quests, and nothing gates the old ones behind them.
Will more quests be added after launch?
Yes, per Blizzard's roadmap. Spring 2027 is slated to bring new quests and a new playable area, two new raids (10 and 20-player), two new dungeons and a new legendary questline. Summer 2027 adds expanded world content, a revamped iconic raid, a new raid, two more dungeons and profession updates. Dates and contents are roadmap targets and may shift.
Raids unlock December 9, 2026: Barrow Deeps (10-player, three entrances), Hyjal Summit (20-player) and the 40-player Onyxia's Lair together. Whether Molten Core or Blackwing Lair are available at launch has not been stated.
How long will 1,000 quests take to get through?
Blizzard has not given a completion estimate, and quest count alone is a poor guide because there is no level scaling — you outlevel content if you overstay. A full 1–60 in Forever, using both new and original zones, is a multi-week project for most people. Boosters working on launch-day orders quote 2–3 weeks for a full 1–60, which is a fair benchmark for a focused player with a normal schedule.
If your goal is simply to see the new zones, the Riverglades is the most self-contained chunk: 150+ quests inside a single 30–45 band.
If you would rather have a vetted human player handle the climb and spend your own time on the new dungeons and Hyjal, PewPewShop takes Forever pre-orders until November 4 — leveling from EUR 13 for 1–30, from EUR 15 for the Riverglades stretch, and full 1–60 progression help from EUR 25 — all self-played by real players with a long zero-ban record.
