There are no Midnight Season 2 set names or bonus tooltips I can confirm yet, but the structure never changes: each spec gets a five-piece class set — head, shoulders, chest, hands, legs — with one 2-piece and one 4-piece bonus. Pieces come from the season's raid, the Great Vault, and catalyst conversions of other gear.

If you landed here looking for a leaked bonus list, treat any number you see without a Blizzard patch note or a PTR tooltip behind it as a guess. Season bonuses also get retuned between PTR and live more often than people remember, so the shape below is what actually holds up.

Tier set quick facts

  • Five slots: helm, shoulders, chest, gloves, legs. Nothing else counts toward the set.
  • Two bonuses: 2-piece and 4-piece, written per specialization — your Fury bonus is not your Protection bonus.
  • Main source: the season's raid. Bosses are grouped so a given encounter drops a fixed slot, on every difficulty from LFR up to Mythic.
  • Second source: the Great Vault. Your weekly picks can include class set pieces, which is how non-raiders assemble a set.
  • Third source: the catalyst. It turns a non-set item into the set piece for that same slot. Charges accrue weekly and the system opens partway into a season, not on day one.
  • New season, new set: Season 2 means a fresh set with fresh bonuses at the new item level tracks. It does not upgrade your Season 1 pieces.

How do you get 4-set fastest?

Work backwards from the slot you can't get. Raid every week for the boss group that drops your missing pieces, take set items from the Vault whenever the alternative is a sidegrade, and save your catalyst charge for the one slot that has refused to drop. Most players hit 4-set through a mix of all three rather than pure raid luck.

Mythic+ helps indirectly: dungeon loot and the Vault's dungeon row feed you items you can convert, so a high key week is rarely wasted even if no set piece drops.

Do Season 1 tier bonuses still work in Season 2?

Historically the bonuses keep functioning — the problem is item level. Last season's gear falls far enough behind that holding 4-set for the old bonus usually costs more than it gives within a few weeks.

One caveat worth checking rather than assuming: Blizzard has, in some seasons, switched off previous-tier bonuses at the season flip. Read the patch notes for the week Season 2 starts before you plan a build around old pieces.

When does the catalyst unlock in a new season?

Never at launch. It has consistently opened some weeks into a season and then hands out charges on a weekly cadence, with any banked charges usable at once. The exact week is published per season, so I won't put a number on Midnight Season 2 here.

Can you buy a tier set outright?

No — there's no vendor that sells class set pieces for gold or tokens. Sets come from raid drops, the Vault and the catalyst, which is why the realistic shortcut is help clearing the content, not the item itself.

If the raid nights are the part you don't have time for, PewPewShop runs coaching and rent-a-pro progression help with vetted human players — Midnight raid runs from EUR 17.54, and Keystone Master (2000 M+ score, Season 2) from EUR 139.99 if the Vault is your main route to set pieces. No bots, no cheats, and we'd rather tell you a season detail isn't confirmed than make one up.
