Classic Plus is confirmed, and its official name is World of Warcraft: Forever. Blizzard announced it at BlizzCon on September 12, 2026 as a third WoW experience beside Modern and Classic, built by the Classic team and set in the game's first year. It launches worldwide on November 4, 2026 at 3 p.m. Pacific, keeps level 60 as the permanent cap, and is included with any active subscription or Game Time.

Everything in that table comes from Blizzard's BlizzCon reveal and its follow-up posts. Earlier datamines, leaked survey screenshots and "insider" threads are not blue posts and should be read as rumor even where they happened to be right.

Blizzard opened an official WoW: Forever category on its forums on the day of the announcement, and it is tracked by the usual blue-post trackers. That is the place to watch for beta patch notes, realm details and any date changes. So far the blues have published the launch date, beta window, name-reservation window, editions and a two-season roadmap. Dates are explicitly "per Blizzard's roadmap" and can move.
What has not been posted yet: realm names and types, what happens to Classic Era, Anniversary and Season of Discovery realms, Hardcore rules for Forever, loot tables, and dungeon boss lists. Anyone claiming those details is guessing.
What is in the Skyborne packs and do you need one?
You do not need a pack to play — a subscription is enough on November 4. The packs unlock extras. The Skyborne Heroic Pack (€29.99 on the EU Battle.net shop) gives the Skyborne race with its Zephras Isle start, early name reservation, the Cerulean Prideclaw ground mount, cosmetics and one Invite-A-Friend code. The Epic Pack adds beta access, 30 days of game time from launch, more cosmetics, tabards, pets and three invite codes. The Warcraft Forever Collection adds Warcraft III: Reforged, the Forsaken Kingdom campaign and housing figurines, and is sold only until January 11, 2027.
One catch worth knowing: the Skyborne race itself requires Heroic or higher. If you want to play the new elves at all, a pack is mandatory.
What does the roadmap after launch look like?
Blizzard published two more drops. Spring 2027 brings two new raids (10 and 20-player), two new dungeons, new quests and playable area, a new legendary questline and a PvP season refresh. Summer 2027 brings a revamped iconic raid, another new raid, expanded world content, two more dungeons, a PvP refresh, and updates to professions and the account-wide Legacy system. Whether Molten Core or Blackwing Lair are open at launch was not stated — the timeline placement "after Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core" is about story, not raid availability.
Did Blizzard confirm new classes or High Elves?
No. Forever launches with the Classic roster — Warrior, Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Shaman, Mage, Warlock, Druid. The panel said "nothing is off the table, not even new classes" for later, but no Death Knight, Ogre or High Elf was announced. The Skyborne are the only new race, and they are faction-locked: Windshaper for Horde, High Order for Alliance.
