In WoW: Forever, Cooking, Fishing and First Aid are the three secondary skills you can learn alongside your two primary professions, exactly as in Classic — Forever is built by the Classic team on the original level-60 game. Blizzard has said professions are being updated and the new Legacy tree adds account-wide profession perks, but it has not published secondary-skill changes yet, so anything beyond the Classic baseline is unconfirmed.
Quick facts
- Slots: two primary professions plus all three secondaries — Cooking, Fishing, First Aid — on one character. No secondary competes with a primary.
- Level cap: Forever's character cap is a permanent 60, so the Classic skill ceiling of 300 is the working assumption until Blizzard says otherwise.
- Legacy perks that touch tradeskills (seen at the BlizzCon demo): Working Overtime, +4% skill-up chance per rank; Dedicated Study, on a 23-hour cooldown. Both sit in the Professions branch and are account-wide, so alts benefit.
- Legacy Challenge category: "Increasing Tradeskills" is one of six challenge groups that award Legacy points — leveling secondaries is likely to count, but the exact challenges are unpublished.
- Camping: a new outdoor system where you craft campfires and build campsites others can join, with tradeskill buffs. Cooking has always needed a fire, so this is the system most likely to interact with it.
- Racial change: Tauren Cultivation now grows bonus herbs without Herbalism — a reminder that Blizzard is willing to rework gathering-adjacent mechanics.
- Launch: November 4, 2026, 3 p.m. Pacific, included with a regular WoW subscription.
What is confirmed and what is not
| Confirmed by Blizzard | Professions are updated; Legacy adds account-wide, non-combat profession perks; Camping gives tradeskill buffs; cap stays at 60. |
| Not published | Any specific change to Cooking, Fishing or First Aid recipes, trainers, skill caps or new consumables; whether Camping replaces or extends the basic cooking fire. |
| Unverified community names | "Luremaster perk" and "Master Chef perk" — neither appears in the Legacy tree entries documented at BlizzCon, and no Blizzard post names them. |
Is there a Luremaster or Master Chef perk in WoW: Forever?
Not that can be confirmed. The Legacy perks photographed at the demo were Working Overtime and Dedicated Study for professions, Well Rested and Talented for adventuring, and Reinforce, Diplomat and For Great Honor for resourcefulness. "Luremaster" and "Master Chef" sound like natural fishing and cooking nodes, and the full tree has not been shown, so they may be real, renamed, or invented by forum speculation. Treat them as rumors until the beta (September 17 – October 21) or a Blizzard post shows the complete tree.
Do I still need First Aid if I play a healer?
In Classic, First Aid was worth it on every class: bandages cost cloth, not mana, and let healers save spells for the group. Forever has not announced any change to First Aid, so the same logic holds for planning purposes. If Blizzard reworks it, the beta patch notes are where that will show first.
How does Camping change Cooking?
Blizzard describes Camping as crafting campfires in the outdoor world and building campsites other players can join, with tradeskill buffs attached. That directly overlaps with Cooking's need for a fire. Whether campsites grant cooking-specific bonuses, or simply act as a shared buff hub, is one of the details Blizzard has kept back — do not assume a cooking bonus until it is documented.
Will leveling Fishing early actually pay off?
Fishing has always been the slowest secondary to level and the easiest to skip, yet it feeds Cooking with raid-food ingredients and sells consistently once raids open (Forever's first raids unlock December 9, 2026). With the level cap fixed at 60 and no expansions coming, a maxed Fishing skill keeps its value indefinitely rather than becoming obsolete with the next level bump.
If grinding three secondaries across several alts is the part of Forever you would rather skip, PewPewShop's vetted players can level them with you or for you — Forever Secondary Skills: Cooking, First Aid & Fishing from EUR 39, or a Forever Materials Farm at EUR 9 per hour if you only need the cloth, fish and meat stockpiled. Human players, no bots, and Forever orders are pre-orders until launch day.
