In World of Warcraft: Forever, Darkwhisper Gorge is folded into the new Mount Hyjal endgame zone. Blizzard's own zone description says Mount Hyjal covers the aftermath of Archimonde's defeat and Darkwhisper Gorge itself. In original WoW the Gorge was a demon-held dead end at the southern tip of Winterspring; in Forever that border finally opens onto Hyjal when the game launches on November 4, 2026.

What is not published yet: the Gorge's exact quest count, which factions or reputations live there, whether the old Hederine demon camps return, and any coordinates for the new passage into Hyjal. Anything you read on those points right now is a guess.

In vanilla and Classic, Darkwhisper Gorge is the far south of Winterspring, past Everlook and Frostsaber Rock. It was packed with level 60 elite demons and felt like an unfinished doorway: a mountain path that led toward Hyjal and stopped at a sealed gate. Players camped it for elite kills and a handful of quests, but nobody ever got through. Forever is the first WoW version built around actually going up that path at level 60, rather than glimpsing Hyjal through a wall.
How do you get to Mount Hyjal in WoW: Forever?
Blizzard has not published the route or entrance requirements. Geographically the Gorge has always been the natural land approach from Winterspring, and Blizzard grouping the two together in the zone description points that way, but treat that as reasoning, not a confirmed path. There is no flying in Forever, so expect to ride in. Whether an attunement, quest chain or level requirement gates the zone is unknown until Blizzard says otherwise.
What quests and content does the Hyjal Forever zone hold?
Forever ships with over 1,000 new quests across three new zones, but Blizzard has not broken that number down per zone. Mount Hyjal is billed as the endgame zone, so its quests are level 60 content by design, themed around the aftermath of the Third War and Archimonde's death at the World Tree. It hosts the 20-player Hyjal Summit raid and one of the three entrances to Barrow Deeps, the maximum-level 10-player challenge. Both open December 9, roughly five weeks after launch, so the first month at 60 is about the zone itself, dungeons and gearing.
Is there a Darkwhisper Gorge or Hyjal reputation in Forever?
Unknown. New reputations are confirmed only for the Riverglades so far. Hyjal is the kind of zone that usually carries a faction, and the Legacy system's Maximizing Reputations challenges and the Diplomat perk (+2% reputation per rank) suggest rep grinding matters in Forever, but no Hyjal faction has been named. If one appears, it will be a level 60 grind rather than a leveling rep.
