Yes, partly: Blizzard confirmed that some Season of Discovery class quests return in WoW: Forever, and new class questlines are being added on top. That comes from the September 17, 2026 live Q&A and press interviews, as recapped by Wowhead. Which quests, for which classes, and at what levels has not been published. Any exact list circulating right now is a guess, not a Blizzard statement.
What is actually confirmed
- Some SoD class quests return. Blizzard did not say how many or name them.
- New class quests exist. Again, no names, levels or rewards yet.
- Every class and spec is revamped for Forever, so a returning quest may not hand out the same ability it did in SoD.
- Talents change: milestones at 11, 21, 31 plus a new 16-point milestone; Divine Spirit, Blessing of Kings and Improved Mark of the Wild are baseline, not quest rewards.
- Not runes. Nothing Blizzard has published describes an SoD-style rune system in Forever. Do not expect rune engraving quests to be back one-to-one.
- Six new race/class combos (Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, Dwarf Shaman, Orc Mage, Troll Warlock, Undead Paladin) may need their own class-quest variants, but Blizzard has not said so.
- Timeline: beta runs September 17 to October 21 with the cap starting at 20 and rising to 30; launch is November 4, 2026 at 3 p.m. Pacific.
Where the SoD comparison holds and where it breaks
Season of Discovery bolted new abilities onto Classic classes through runes, and its class quests were mostly the delivery vehicle for those runes. Forever takes a different route: the class kits themselves are rebuilt. So even if a beloved SoD questline returns, expect it to reward something else, or to exist for the story and the gear. Treat the returning quests as content, not as a checklist of power you must farm on day one.
What we can say with confidence is that the class-quest concept is back as a design tool. Blizzard has also expanded quest rewards across the board: Mor'ladim in Duskwood now offers the Ladimore Heirloom Ring for casters, and Nesingwary's Stranglethorn chain adds the Master Hunter's Spellsword. That is the pattern to expect from class quests too: real upgrades, not just flavor.
Is there a WoW: Forever Paladin class quest?
Nothing specific is published. Paladin is the only class with detailed ability information so far: Holy Strike arrives at level 6 (an instant Holy weapon strike on a 12-second cooldown), Seals are no longer consumed by Judgment, Seal of Fury is the new Protection tanking Seal whose Judgment taunts, and Consecration is baseline at level 20. Whether any of those are gated behind a quest, Blizzard has not said.
Undead Paladins are a new combo, and the Retribution tree gets a full suite (Vindication, Sacred Arbiter, Champion of the Light, Instrument of the Law, Twist of Light). Paladins still have no interrupt and no slow. If a Paladin class quest shows up in beta, Wowhead's datamining will surface it within hours; until then, assume the kit is trainer-and-talent based.
Will the SoD class quests be the same as in Season of Discovery?
Unlikely to be identical. Blizzard's exact wording was that some return and some are new, and it reworked every class at the same time. The safest reading: familiar questlines, adjusted rewards. Names, zones and level ranges are unknown until beta testers reach them.
Can I see the class quests in the beta right now?
Only whatever exists below level 20 in week one. The beta opened September 17 with the Skyborne, Zephras Isle, Hall of Thanes (13 to 18), Ruins of Lordaeron (15 to 20) and all zones up to level 20. The cap rises to 30 later in the beta window. Access is instant with the Skyborne Epic Pack or the Warcraft Forever Collection; opt-in sign-ups get invitation waves throughout.
What are Classic Plus class questlines, exactly?
Classic Plus (or Classic+) is community shorthand for Forever itself, not a separate game. So classic plus class questlines means the same thing as Forever class quests: the returning SoD ones and the new ones Blizzard has promised but not yet detailed. Older leaks and rumors about Classic+ are not sources; only what Blizzard has published counts.
If you would rather have a vetted player alongside you while the class questlines get datamined and the leveling routes settle, PewPewShop offers Forever pre-orders until November 4: coaching and play-together leveling from 1 to 30 (from EUR 11 for EU gold, leveling 1 to 30 from EUR 13), or the Launch-Ready Pack with 1 to 60, pre-raid gear and 500 gold from EUR 219. Human players only, no bots, and one honest caveat: Blizzard has said it will be very punishing towards gold buyers in Forever, so gold is a risk you weigh yourself.
