Druid is a playable class in World of Warcraft: Forever, and the new Skyborne elves can be Druids on both factions — with unique sky-blue shapeshift forms. That puts a third druid race next to the classic Night Elf and Tauren options. Blizzard says every class and specialization is being revamped for the November 4, 2026 launch, but the exact Druid spell and talent changes have not been published yet.

Druid in WoW: Forever — quick facts

  • Races: Night Elf (Alliance), Tauren (Horde) and the new Skyborne — Windshaper Skyborne on Horde, High Order Skyborne on Alliance.
  • Skyborne forms: sky-blue recolors of the druid shapeshifts, exclusive to the race. No other visual details are confirmed.
  • Skyborne racials for a Druid: Walk on Air (glide downward for 10 seconds), Wind Blessed (+1% haste), Elemental Insight (+5% damage to Elementals). Alliance adds Read Ley Line (+100% health and mana regeneration); Horde adds Skysight (+10% run speed).
  • Tauren racial change: Cultivation now grows bonus herbs without needing Herbalism.
  • Level cap: 60, permanently — Forever grows through patches, not expansions.
  • Talents: revamped for all classes, moving away from +1–2% filler nodes. The account-wide Legacy perk "Talented" hands out talent points from level 9 (still capped at 51).
  • Requirement: the Skyborne race needs the Skyborne Heroic Pack (€29.99 on the EU Battle.net shop) or higher; Night Elf and Tauren Druids are included with a regular subscription.
  • Start zone: Skyborne Druids begin on Zephras Isle, a floating 1–12 zone. Night Elves and Tauren keep their classic starts.

What changes for Druids in the Forever class revamp?

Blizzard has stated that all classes and specializations get a revamp, and that talent trees drop the small percentage fillers in favour of choices that matter. For Druid specifically, no ability list, spec breakdown or coefficient has been shown. Treat anything more specific you read as speculation until beta data lands — the beta runs September 17 to October 21, 2026, capped at level 30, which is where the first real Druid numbers will come from.

The one confirmed class-level detail so far is Paladin (tanking seal, more group healing, a full Retribution suite). That is a useful signal: Blizzard is filling in the specs that felt half-finished in 2004–2006 era WoW, and Druid tanks, casters and feral DPS fit that description. But a signal is not a patch note.

What do Skyborne druid forms look like?

Sky-blue. That is the whole official description: Skyborne Druids have unique sky-blue versions of the druid forms. Whether every form (bear, cat, travel, aquatic, moonkin, tree) gets the treatment, and whether there are extra customization options, is unknown. The Skyborne aesthetic is Skywall-inspired — floating architecture, wind themes — so expect the forms to lean into that.

Is a Skyborne Druid worth it over Night Elf or Tauren?

If you want the blue forms, yes, and the €29.99 Heroic Pack also covers a name reservation, a ground mount and cosmetics. Mechanically, the racials are modest: +1% haste is a small, permanent DPS and healing bump, the Alliance regen racial helps a caster or healer between pulls, and the Horde run-speed racial is a nice quality-of-life perk for a class that already lives in travel form. Night Elf and Tauren racials are also being touched — Tauren Cultivation is the confirmed example — so the gap is likely small either way. Pick on looks and faction, not on numbers nobody has yet.

How does Druid leveling work in Forever?

Same shape as Classic: no level scaling, no flying, level 60 is the end of the road. Skyborne Druids do Zephras Isle 1–12 and then join the normal world; the new Riverglades zone covers levels 30–45 in the Eastern Kingdoms, and Mount Hyjal — lore-heavy ground for a Druid — is a new endgame zone hosting the Hyjal Summit raid. Nine new dungeons are spread from level 13 (Hall of Thanes) up to the 40–60 bracket. Camping, a new campfire-based system with tradeskill buffs, fits an herbalism Druid well. Raids open December 9, 2026 with Barrow Deeps (10-player), Hyjal Summit (20-player) and Onyxia's Lair (40-player).

If you would rather have your Druid at 60 for the December raid opening without grinding the November queues, PewPewShop offers Forever leveling as pre-orders until launch — Skyborne Start: Zephras Isle 1–12 from EUR 15 and full 1–60 Power Leveling from EUR 25, played by vetted human players with no bots or cheats. Boosters quote 2–3 weeks for a full 1–60 at launch.
