Hyjal Summit is the 20-player raid of World of Warcraft: Forever, located in the new Mount Hyjal endgame zone, and per Blizzard's roadmap it opens on December 9, 2026 together with Barrow Deeps and Onyxia's Lair. The exact entrance spot, the boss lineup and the loot tables have not been published yet; anything you read listing them today is a guess.

That table is the honest state of play as of September 13, 2026. Blizzard showed the zone and named the raid, but no encounter list, no drop tables and no attunement details went out with the announcement. Treat every boss name or item you see floating around as speculation until the game files or an official post confirm it.

Where is the Hyjal Summit entrance?

Inside Mount Hyjal, which is one of the three new zones shipping with Forever on November 4. The zone deals with the aftermath of Archimonde's defeat and includes Darkwhisper Gorge, so the mountain itself is the obvious landmark, but Blizzard has not marked the raid portal on any map yet. Mount Hyjal also holds one of the three entrances to Barrow Deeps, so expect both raid groups to gather in the same region.

Practical note: Forever has no flying mounts and no level scaling, so plan on riding up. Which side of the mountain you approach from will matter, and we will update this page the moment the entrance is pinned down.

Which bosses are in Hyjal Summit?

Unknown. Blizzard did not release an encounter list at BlizzCon, and the beta (September 17 to October 21) caps characters at level 30, so testers will not be walking into a max-level raid. The first hard data will most likely come from the launch client or an official preview closer to December 9. Until then, the only safe statement is that the raid is themed around Hyjal after the Burning Legion's defeat there.

Do not confuse this with the Battle for Mount Hyjal raid from The Burning Crusade, which replays the Warcraft III battle through the Caverns of Time. Forever's Hyjal Summit is a new raid in the actual zone, set in WoW's first year, and the two share a name and a mountain but nothing else that has been confirmed.

What loot drops in Hyjal Summit?

Not published. No item names, item levels, set pieces or drop rates have been shown. What we can say from the surrounding design: Forever stays at level 60 forever and adds content in patches rather than expansions, so raid gear from Hyjal Summit will be endgame gear for a long stretch, not something replaced by the next level band. That makes the first clear worth more than a typical tier launch.

How does Hyjal Summit compare with Barrow Deeps and Onyxia?

Three raids unlock on the same day. Barrow Deeps is described by Blizzard as a maximum-level 10-player challenge with three separate entrances. Hyjal Summit is the 20-player raid. Onyxia's Lair returns as the 40-player fight. Whether Molten Core or Blackwing Lair are in the game at launch has not been stated, so the December 9 trio is the confirmed raid lineup for now. After that, the roadmap lists two more raids (10 and 20-player) in spring 2027 and a revamped iconic raid plus a new one in summer 2027.

What should I do before December 9?

  1. Hit level 60 before the raids open. Forever launches November 4 and boosters quote 2 to 3 weeks for a full 1 to 60 at launch pace.
  2. Level a profession that produces consumables; Forever's professions were reworked, so recipes may differ from Classic.
  3. Pick a raid class early. Every class and spec was revamped, and Paladins in particular gained a tanking seal and a real Retribution kit.
  4. Find a 20-player roster now. A 20-man is easier to fill than a 40-man, but it still needs a reliable core.
