Mythic+ dungeon portals come from the Keystone Hero achievements: time a dungeon at Mythic +10 or higher and you permanently unlock that dungeon's teleport. Each dungeon in the current season's pool has its own Keystone Hero achievement and its own portal. Earned teleports sit in your spellbook under Dungeon Teleports and never expire once unlocked.
The quick facts
- Requirement: complete the dungeon at keystone level +10 or above, within the timer.
- Achievement name: "Keystone Hero: [Dungeon Name]" — one per dungeon, not a single meta-achievement.
- Reward: a teleport spell that drops you at that dungeon's entrance, on a short cooldown (roughly 15 minutes).
- Where it lives: Spellbook, under the Dungeon Teleports tab. Modern retail shares these unlocks across your Warband, so alts should see them too.
- Scope: only dungeons currently in the Mythic+ rotation can be unlocked. Out-of-pool dungeons are on hold until they rotate back in.
- Permanence: once earned, a teleport stays forever — season endings and expansions don't take it away.
Unlocking a portal, step by step
- Get a keystone: run a Mythic 0 dungeon, or have a group member deplete/downgrade a key you can use.
- Push the key to +10. Timing a +8 or +9 raises your key but earns no portal — the achievement only fires at +10 and above.
- Build a group that can actually beat the clock: solid interrupts, a route plan, and enough trash percentage banked before the last boss.
- Finish the run in time. The achievement pops the moment the timer stops with time to spare.
- Repeat for every dungeon on the seasonal list. Each one is separate — eight dungeons means eight timed +10s.
Does a depleted key still count?
No. Killing the last boss after the timer expires gives loot and rating, but not the portal. Keystone Hero is strictly a timed achievement, so an over-time +12 is worth less for portals than a clean, timed +10.
The upside: you don't need a high key. A comfortable, well-routed +10 unlocks exactly the same teleport as a +15.
Where do I find my dungeon teleports?
Open your spellbook and look for the Dungeon Teleports section — every unlocked portal lives there, grouped by expansion. Drag them onto a bar or bind them to a macro; most players keep the current season's set on one hidden bar.
Can I still earn portals from past seasons?
Only when those dungeons come back. Mythic+ scaling exists solely for the dungeons in the active rotation, so a Keystone Hero achievement for a dungeon that's out of the pool is simply parked until Blizzard brings it back into a future season. Nothing is lost permanently — it's a waiting game.
Does 2000 Mythic+ rating give you the portals?
No, and this trips up a lot of people. Rating milestones like Keystone Master (2000) and Keystone Legend (3000) hand out seasonal mounts, titles and vault perks. Portals are earned dungeon by dungeon, through timed +10s. You can hit 2000 score and still be missing two teleports if you skipped two dungeons.
If your week doesn't have room for eight timed keys, PewPewShop's vetted human players can run them alongside you — coaching your route and pacing, or filling the group as rent-a-pro teammates. Single timed runs start from EUR 19.98, and a 3+1 Mythic+ dungeon bundle starts from EUR 68. No bots, no cheats, and you keep the achievement in your own log.
