Keystone Master: Season Two in The War Within is earned by reaching 2000 Mythic+ rating during that season — total score from any dungeons, not one huge key. The reward is that season's exclusive Mythic+ mount. It is strictly seasonal: rating resets when the season ends, and the mount retires with it. Nothing carries into the next season.
The seasonal Keystone ladder
| Achievement | Requirement | What you get |
| Keystone Explorer: Season Two | 750 rating | First tier, mostly a progress marker |
| Keystone Conqueror: Season Two | 1500 rating | Mid tier on the way to the mount |
| Keystone Master: Season Two | 2000 rating | The seasonal Mythic+ mount |
| Keystone Hero: Season Two | Time every dungeon in the season's pool at +10 | Prestige tier, no rating shortcut |
| Keystone Legend | 3000 rating | Top tier where the season includes it |
How 2000 rating actually adds up
- Your rating is the sum of your best scored run in each dungeon of the current pool — one dead dungeon caps your total, no matter how high you push the others.
- Score per run comes from key level plus how far inside the timer you finish. Depleting still scores; it just scores worse.
- Practically, 2000 means a clean sweep of the whole pool at a similar mid-range key level, not one hero run.
- Only completions count. Leaving after the first wipe adds nothing, so a group that finishes slow keys beats a group that bails on fast ones.
- Fresh characters need gear and a route first. Most of the grind is the first pass through all dungeons; repeats climb quickly.
Keystone Master Season 3 in The War Within — what changed?
The rule stayed identical: 2000 rating inside Season 3, measured against Season 3's dungeon pool, for Season 3's own mount. The pool rotated, the affix layout was retuned, and your Season 2 rating did not follow you. If you cleared Keystone Master in Season 2, you started the next season at zero like everyone else.
Can I still earn the War Within Season 2 version?
Seasonal Keystone achievements close with their season, so the War Within Season 2 and Season 3 mounts are no longer on the table once those seasons are over — that is the whole point of the reward.
One thing that trips people up: season numbers repeat every expansion. A live "Season 2" Mythic+ offer or achievement you see today refers to the current expansion's Season 2, not the retired War Within one. Check which expansion the season belongs to before assuming anything is gone.
How long does 2000 rating take?
With a competent premade and a geared character, a full pool run at the needed key level is a few evenings of play. Pugging stretches that considerably — failed timers, disbands and re-running the same dungeon for a better score are where the hours disappear. Score climbs fastest when you improve your worst dungeon, not your best.
Do I need the mount to prove the score?
No. Rating itself is what groups read, and it is visible in-game and on external score sites. The mount is a cosmetic marker that you hit 2000 while the season was live — useful for bragging, irrelevant for applying to keys.
If you would rather have the rating done properly than spend a month in pug queues, PewPewShop runs Mythic+ progression with vetted human players — coaching and play-together runs, no bots or cheats. The 2000-score Keystone Master package (Breath of Blight, Season 2) starts from EUR 139.99, the 3000-score Keystone Legend tier from EUR 489.99, and a single timed +10 in Midnight Season One from EUR 19.98 if you just need one dungeon filled in.
