How to install Questie for WoW: Forever
Install Questie from CurseForge and confirm that the file you pick is listed for Forever, because the addon also exists for other Classic versions.
- Find Questie on CurseForge and check that the listing covers WoW: Forever.
- Install it through the CurseForge app, or unzip it into Interface\AddOns inside your Forever game folder. Your modern WoW folder is a separate one.
- Open the AddOns menu at character select and confirm that Questie is enabled.
- Log in, open the world map and look for the new quest markers.

Questie adds the most on the Classic preset, because that preset turns quest points of interest and objective blobs off. On Enhanced, those two helpers are already on, so the real gain is seeing quests you have not taken.
Your preset is not a lock. You pick it on your first login and can change it later under Options, System, Preset. It affects presentation only, so it has no bearing on your ruleset.

No public figure shows how many of Forever's new quests Questie covers. Forever added more than 1,000 quests, including 150+ in the Riverglades, and it only went live on November 4.
Treat a marker in a new zone as a strong hint. If it disagrees with the quest text, trust the text. Wowhead also reported that many quests were tracked improperly by the in-game system on the beta, so a wrong objective marker may not be Questie's fault.
Will Questie make leveling faster?
Questie can save search time, but it does not change the XP you earn. Experience per level matches Classic, so your speed comes from routing, quest density and the bonuses you stack.
- Rest at a campfire: Forever's camping system gives you rest and one-hour buffs, and profession objects add more.
- Use the Cozy Sleeping Bag: on the beta it gave 1% bonus XP per minute of rest, up to 3%.
- Eat XP-boosting food: Wowhead reported that food buffs add +5% XP, though not every food had the bonus on the beta.
- Group for drop quests: quest items are shared out more evenly among party members, without changing the drop rate.
Is Questie allowed in WoW: Forever?
Nothing in Blizzard's published Forever coverage names Questie as banned or approved. Clay Stone told Friends Per Second that addons that play the game for you are unwanted, and Questie's listed features only show extra information and send party messages.
Addon rules can change, so watch Blizzard's notes after patches.
What other addons do you need for leveling?
You can level with very few addons, because Forever already includes tools that older Classic versions left to third parties. It has a built-in damage meter, a Cooldown Manager and a Statistics pane, and professions can track a recipe's reagents like a quest.
Forever also uses the modern client API. An addon built for another Classic version may therefore need a Forever-specific update, so check each listing before you install it.
