The TBC Classic arena ladder is a team-based rating race: your 2v2, 3v3 or 5v5 team starts at 1500 rating and climbs by winning matches, and at season end the top 0.5% of each bracket earn Gladiator, the top 3% Duelist, the top 10% Rival and the top 35% Challenger. You can track standings through Blizzard's official PvP leaderboards and your in-game arena team panel.

How the ladder ranks you
- Rating moves on a matchmaking curve: beating a higher-rated team gains more points, losing to a lower-rated team costs more.
- Both a team rating and a personal rating exist. Your personal rating tracks the games you actually play; title eligibility at season end depends on your personal rating and on having played a minimum share of the team's games, so you cannot be carried on a roster you never queue with.
- Ladder position is relative, not absolute. The cutoffs are percentages of active teams in each bracket, so Gladiator might sit around 2000 in one bracket and season and well above 2200 in another.
- Titles and mounts are awarded when the season closes, based on the final standings. Mid-season rank means nothing until the last week.

- Blizzard's official PvP leaderboards on worldofwarcraft.com list 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 standings for Classic realms by region and let you filter by faction and class.
- In game, open your character's PvP tab and the arena team panel to see team rating, personal rating, weekly games played and win rate.
- Arena vendors in Area 52 and Gadgetzan show the rating requirements on Season 3 and 4 items, which is a practical way to see where you stand against the gear gates.
What rating do you need for Gladiator in TBC Classic?
There is no fixed number. Gladiator goes to the top 0.5% of each bracket, so the cutoff lands wherever that percentile falls on the final day. Historically it has ranged from just above 2000 in quieter brackets to well past 2200 in 3v3 during a busy season. Watching the leaderboard in the final two weeks is the only reliable way to know the current line.
Which bracket is best for climbing the ladder?
3v3 is the traditional competitive bracket and the one most players use to judge skill. 2v2 is the easiest to organise with a friend but the slowest for arena points. 5v5 pays the most points per rating and titles are often easier there because fewer teams compete, though finding four reliable teammates is the real barrier.
Is the TBC Classic arena ladder still active?
The original TBC Classic ladder from 2021 and 2022 ended when those realms moved on to Wrath of the Lich King Classic. Blizzard's Classic Anniversary realms were scheduled to progress into Burning Crusade in 2026, which brings a fresh arena ladder with the same team, rating and title structure. Check the official leaderboards for the current season status on your region.
Why did my personal rating go up but not my team rating?
Personal rating only counts games you play in; team rating counts every game the team plays regardless of who was on the roster. If teammates queued without you and lost, team rating drops while your personal rating stays put. The reverse happens if they won without you.
