Warlock is a playable class in World of Warcraft: Forever, and Blizzard has confirmed that every class and specialization is being revamped — but no Warlock-specific spell, pet or talent details have been published yet. What is certain today: the level cap stays at 60 for good, talent trees are dropping the +1–2% filler points, and the new Skyborne race cannot be a Warlock. Anything more precise is still unknown.

| Level cap | 60, permanent ("endless level 60") |
| Talent points | Still max 51; a Legacy perk (Talented) starts them at level 9 |
| Skyborne Warlock? | No — Skyborne can be Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Druid, plus Shaman (Horde) or Mage (Alliance) |
| New race combos | Only Forsaken Paladin and Dwarf Shaman were announced — nothing new for Warlock |
| Launch | November 4, 2026, 3 p.m. Pacific; beta September 17 – October 21 (capped at level 30) |
The only class Blizzard described in detail at BlizzCon was Paladin: a tanking seal, more group healing and a full Retribution suite. That tells you the scale of the revamp — real role gaps get filled rather than numbers tweaked — but it says nothing about Affliction, Demonology or Destruction. Treat every "Forever Warlock talent tree" you see online as speculation until Blizzard or the beta shows one.

Blizzard has not announced any new Warlock race combinations. The two new combos are Forsaken Paladin and Dwarf Shaman, and the Skyborne elves cannot roll Warlock on either faction. So the working assumption is the original set — Human and Gnome for the Alliance, Orc and Undead for the Horde — until Blizzard says otherwise.
Two racial changes matter for Warlocks if that roster holds. Gnome Expansive Mind now raises your maximum resource rather than a flat intellect bonus, and Gnomes get a new active, Eureka!, that makes the next three spells cheaper and 10% stronger. Orc Axe Specialization now grants critical chance, which is a melee perk and does nothing for a caster.
Will Warlock talents change in Forever?
Yes, in principle. Blizzard's stated goal for every class is talent trees without the +1–2% filler ranks, so expect Warlock trees to be restructured rather than copied from 2004. The cap stays at 51 points. Through the account-wide Legacy system, the Talented perk lets your alts start earning talent points at level 9 instead of 10.
How Affliction, Demonology and Destruction actually look — which pets get reworked, whether the Felsteed and Dreadsteed quests return under the updated riding system, how DoTs and Soul Shards behave — is unknown. The beta on September 17 is the first place anyone can verify it.
Is Warlock a good class to level first in WoW: Forever?
Nobody outside Blizzard can say yet, because the revamped kit is unpublished and there is no level scaling — every zone keeps its fixed level band. Historically, Warlock was one of the most self-sufficient solo levelers thanks to its pet, and the new Riverglades zone (levels 30–45, 150+ quests) plus nine new dungeons will change leveling routes for every class regardless of the revamp.
One practical note: the Legacy system rewards leveling multiple classes. Each completed Legacy Challenge — including "Leveling Classes" — gives a point for account-wide perks like extra rested XP, so a Warlock alt after your main is more valuable than it was in Classic.
Is "Classic Plus Warlock" the same thing as Forever Warlock?
Yes. "Classic+" and "Classic Plus" are the community nickname for World of Warcraft: Forever, Blizzard's third WoW experience alongside Modern and Classic. It is built by the Classic team, set in the game's first year, and is included with a regular subscription or Game Time — no separate purchase. Searches for "Classic Plus Warlock changes" and "Forever Warlock changes" point at the same unpublished revamp.
