The Great Vault opens with your region's weekly reset: Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. server time in North America and Wednesday at 4:00 a.m. server time in Europe. That single reset does two things at once — it makes last week's rewards claimable and starts a fresh set of objectives. Oceanic, Korean and Taiwanese realms reset on Thursday morning by their own local server clocks.

  • Server time, not your time. If you play on a US realm from Europe, the Vault still flips on US Tuesday. Hover the clock on your minimap and switch it to server time so you stop guessing.
  • Claim before the next reset. Unclaimed rewards do not stack forever — pick your item before the following week's reset rolls around.
  • Same reset clears everything else. Mythic+ rating snapshots, raid lockouts, weekly quests and world boss loot all turn over at the same moment.

How to open it, step by step

  1. Log in after your region's reset time.
  2. Fly to the Great Vault chamber in Valdrakken, in the Dragon Isles.
  3. Interact with the Vault to see up to nine reward slots across three tracks — raid, Mythic+ and world/PvP activity.
  4. Compare all offered items carefully. You get exactly one.
  5. Confirm your pick. The rest vanish until next week.

Why is my Vault empty on reset day?

An empty Vault almost always means you did not complete a single qualifying activity last week. Each track needs its own threshold met — one Mythic+ run unlocks the first dungeon slot, one raid boss the first raid slot, and so on. Nothing carries over from previous weeks.

The other common cause: you already claimed. Once you take a reward, the Vault stays closed until the next reset regardless of what you do afterwards.

Does the reset time change with daylight saving?

The posted server time stays the same, but the real-world hour shifts for you when your clock changes and the server's does not, or vice versa. If reset suddenly feels an hour early or late in March or November, that is why. Trust the in-game server clock over your phone.

How many dungeon runs do I need before reset?

Eight timed keys fills every dungeon slot in the Vault, which is why so many players scramble on Monday night. Fewer runs still pay out — you just get fewer options, and the item level is set by your lowest qualifying key in that slot, not your highest.

What happens to keys I run after reset?

They count toward next week's Vault immediately. There is no dead window: the run you do five minutes after reset is already banked for the following Tuesday or Wednesday.

If chasing eight keys every week has turned into a second job, PewPewShop's vetted human players can help — coaching to sharpen your own routes and pulls, or play-together progression help with a pro in your group. Weekly Vault — 8 Dungeons runs from EUR 55, and a single Mythic+ Timed Key for Midnight Season 2 starts at EUR 7.69. No bots, no cheats, just people who know the dungeons.
