There is no confirmed best class for WoW: Forever yet — Blizzard has revamped every class and specialization and has not published balance numbers. Choose by role instead: Warrior, Paladin or Druid to tank; Priest, Paladin, Shaman or Druid to heal; Mage, Warlock, Rogue or Hunter for damage. New in Forever: Forsaken Paladins, Dwarf Shamans and the Skyborne race.

What is confirmed about classes in WoW: Forever

  • All nine original classes return, and every one of them has been reworked. Talent trees drop the +1–2% filler nodes in favor of choices that actually change how a spec plays.
  • Paladin is the headline rework: a dedicated tanking seal, more group healing, and a full Retribution damage kit. If you wanted to tank or DPS as a Paladin in the original game and got laughed out of the group, this is the version that fixes it.
  • Two new race/class combos: Forsaken (Undead) Paladin and Dwarf Shaman. Horde gets Paladins, Alliance gets Shamans.
  • Skyborne, the new elven race, is faction-locked (Windshaper for Horde, High Order for Alliance). Every Skyborne can be a Warrior, Hunter, Rogue or Druid — Druids get unique sky-blue forms. Horde Skyborne can also roll Shaman; Alliance Skyborne can also roll Mage.
  • Level cap is 60 and stays there. Whatever you pick, you are building a character for a long-term endgame, not for the next expansion.
  • Racials changed: Orc Axe Specialization now grants critical chance, Gnome Expansive Mind raises maximum resource, Gnomes also get Eureka! (+10% damage/healing on the next three spells, cheaper casts), and Tauren Cultivation grows bonus herbs without Herbalism.

Which class levels fastest in WoW: Forever?

Not confirmed. In the original 1–60 game, pet classes (Hunter, Warlock) and Mages had the smoothest solo leveling, but Forever rebuilt every kit, so treat that as a starting hypothesis and check it in the beta (September 17 – October 21, capped at level 30). Two things help every class: the Legacy perk Talented hands out talent points from level 9 (still 51 max), and Well Rested adds rested XP per rank. Both are account-wide, so your second character always levels easier than your first.

Is Paladin the best class in WoW: Forever?

It is the class with the biggest confirmed upgrade, which is not the same as the strongest. A tanking seal, extra group healing and a proper Retribution suite mean a Paladin can credibly fill all three roles in 5-player dungeons and the 10-player Barrow Deeps. Add the Forsaken combo and Horde players finally get to try it. Whether it out-damages a Rogue or out-heals a Priest at 60 is unknown until raids open on December 9.

Should I roll a Skyborne?

Yes if you want the new 1–12 Zephras Isle start and a race with universally useful passives: Walk on Air (a 10-second downward glide), Wind Blessed (+1% haste) and Elemental Insight (+5% damage to Elementals) for both variants, plus Read Ley Line (+100% health/mana regeneration) on the Alliance side or Skysight (+10% run speed) on the Horde side. Two caveats: the class list is limited (no Priest, Warlock or Paladin), and the race requires the Skyborne Heroic Pack (€29.99) or higher.

Horde or Alliance — does faction still decide your class?

Much less than before. Forsaken Paladins and Dwarf Shamans close the old gap, and Skyborne exist on both sides. The remaining differences are racial passives, so pick the faction your friends play and choose the race for the perk you like — Orc crit for melee, Gnome Eureka! for casters, Tauren herbs if you want to make gold from the launch economy.

If you would rather skip the 1–60 grind and jump straight to the class decision that matters — what you play at endgame — PewPewShop's vetted human players offer WoW: Forever power leveling 1–60 from EUR 25 (Forsaken Paladin and Dwarf Shaman runs also from EUR 25), pre-ordered now and delivered in roughly 2–3 weeks from the November 4 launch.
