Every WoW Classic warrior does two core class quests: The Affray at level 10 to unlock Defensive Stance, and the Berserker Stance quest at level 30. Both are handed out by your warrior trainer — head to any trainer in a capital or starting hub once you reach the required level, and they'll point you to the quest. There's also a popular optional chain, the Whirlwind Weapon quest, that rewards a powerful two-handed axe, one-handed sword, or warglaive.
The two warrior class quests, at a glance
| Quest | Level | What you get | Starts with |
| The Affray | 10 | Defensive Stance + Taunt | Warrior trainer |
| Berserker Stance quest | 30 | Berserker Stance | Warrior trainer |
| Whirlwind Weapon (optional) | 30 | Whirlwind Axe / Sword / Warglaive | Warrior trainer |
How the quests work
- Level 10 — The Affray: Your trainer sends you to an arena to survive several waves of attackers back to back. Finish it and you learn Defensive Stance, the tanking stance, plus Taunt.
- Level 30 — Berserker Stance: A short chain from your trainer that ends with another endurance fight. Completing it unlocks Berserker Stance, the aggressive damage stance most warriors live in.
- Level 30 — Whirlwind Weapon (optional): A longer, travel-heavy chain that takes you across several zones. Its payoff is a strong weapon for its level, prized by both levelers and twinks.
How do I start the warrior class quest in Classic?
Talk to any warrior trainer once you hit the level requirement. At level 10 the trainer offers The Affray; at level 30 they offer the Berserker Stance chain and can point you toward the Whirlwind Weapon quest. If you don't see it, double-check your level — the quests won't appear until you meet the minimum.
What level is the Berserker Stance quest?
Level 30. It's a compact chain from your warrior trainer that finishes with a survival-style fight. Until you complete it, you only have Battle Stance and Defensive Stance, so most warriors knock it out promptly at 30 to get their damage stance and Intercept online.
Is the Whirlwind Weapon quest worth it?
For many warriors, yes. The reward weapon punches above its level and stays useful for a good stretch of leveling, and the axe version is a classic twink pick at level 39. The catch is the travel — the chain sends you back and forth across the world, so budget an evening for it.
If you'd rather skip the cross-continent running and just have a seasoned warrior main knock out these quests, coaching or rent-a-pro progression help from PewPewShop's vetted human players is an option — handy when you want to jump straight into dungeons or PvP without the legwork. No pressure either way; the quests are very doable solo.
