Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin and Alterac Valley all return in WoW: Forever, alongside the new 15v15 Darkspear Islands, so battleground wins are farmed the classic way: queue at level 60, win, bank Honor. If you would rather skip the queue grind, PewPewShop's Forever Battleground Wins (WSG / AB / AV) start from EUR 13 per win as a pre-order for the November 4, 2026 launch.
Quick facts: battlegrounds in WoW: Forever
| Battleground | Format | Objective |
| Warsong Gulch | 10v10 | Capture the flag — three captures wins |
| Arathi Basin | 15v15 | Hold five resource nodes, race to the resource cap |
| Alterac Valley | 40v40 | Kill the enemy general (Vanndar / Drek'Thar) |
| Darkspear Islands (new) | 15v15 | Eye of the Storm-style map with Arathi-style capture points |
- Launch: November 4, 2026, 3 p.m. Pacific, worldwide — included with a regular WoW subscription or Game Time.
- Level cap: 60, permanently. Every battleground win at cap feeds the Honor system.
- Honor system: Blizzard confirmed it is changed from original Classic, but the actual numbers (rank thresholds, Honor per win, decay) are not published yet.
- Legacy perk: the Resourcefulness tree includes For Great Honor, +2% Honor per rank — an account-wide boost for anyone grinding BGs on alts.
- PvP season refresh: on the roadmap for both Spring 2027 and Summer 2027, so Honor rewards will rotate.
- Our prices (pre-order until November 4): Forever Battleground Wins (WSG / AB / AV) from EUR 13; Forever Honor Farming from EUR 16 per hour; Darkspear Islands Wins (15v15) from EUR 15.
Which battleground gives the most Honor per hour in Forever?
Blizzard has not published Forever's Honor numbers, so nobody can quote exact values yet. What we can say from the original Classic design that Forever builds on: Warsong Gulch games are short but swingy, Arathi Basin rewards a coordinated 15 with a steady cap, and Alterac Valley is the slow, big-payout option because a single 40v40 game hands out bonus Honor for towers, captains and the final general kill.
Expect a similar split at launch, then check the numbers once the Honor rework goes live. If your goal is raw Honor rather than a specific win count, hourly Honor Farming (from EUR 16) is usually the better fit than buying individual wins.
Do I need the PvP ruleset to queue for battlegrounds?
No. Forever has no realms — you pick a ruleset instead: Normal (world PvP only by mutual consent), PvP, Roleplaying, and Hardcore after launch. Battlegrounds are instanced, so they are available on every ruleset; the choice only decides whether you can be attacked in the open world. The PvP ruleset additionally gets Horde/Alliance balance systems similar to Season of Discovery, which should help queue times on the underpopulated faction.
When can I actually start farming BG wins?
Launch day, November 4, 2026. Beta (September 17 – October 21) is capped at level 30, so it is fine for learning the new class kits but not for capped PvP. Early name reservation and character creation open October 27 – November 3 with any upgrade pack; from then it is a straight level 1–60 push before you queue at cap. Boosters currently quote 2–3 weeks for a full 1–60 at launch, so realistic capped PvP begins in the second half of November.
Is Darkspear Islands part of the WSG/AB/AV package?
It is sold separately. Darkspear Islands is the brand-new 15v15 map, so we list it as its own service (from EUR 15 per win) while Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin and Alterac Valley share one Forever Battleground Wins listing from EUR 13. Both are pre-orders that are scheduled from launch day onward.
