The WoW: Forever beta runs September 17 to October 21, 2026, per Blizzard's roadmap. Play is capped at level 30, and access comes with the Skyborne Epic Pack or the Warcraft Forever Collection — the Heroic Pack does not include it. The full game launches November 4, 2026 and is included with a regular WoW subscription.

Blizzard calls these roadmap dates, so treat them as firm intentions rather than promises. If a shift happens, the beta window is the most likely thing to move.

Two of the three editions on the Battle.net shop carry beta access. The Skyborne Epic Pack includes the beta plus everything from the Heroic tier (Skyborne race, Zephras Isle start, name reservation, the Cerulean Prideclaw ground mount), 30 days of game time counted from November 4, extra cosmetics and three Invite-A-Friend codes. The Warcraft Forever Collection includes all of that plus Warcraft III: Reforged, the Forsaken Kingdom campaign and housing figurines, and is only sold until January 11, 2027.
The Skyborne Heroic Pack (€29.99 in the EU as of September 12) does not include beta access. It gets you the race, name reservation and one invite code, but your first login to Forever will be launch day.
What does the level 30 cap actually let you test?
Level 30 covers the whole early game: the new Zephras Isle 1–12 start for Skyborne characters, the reworked classes and talent trees, and the lower-level new dungeons — Hall of Thanes (13–18, Alliance side), Lordaeron (15–20, Horde side) and the lower half of the Dalaran city-dungeon (20–35) all sit inside that range. The Riverglades, the new 30–45 leveling zone, starts exactly where the cap ends, so it is out of reach in the beta. Blizzard has not published which of these are switched on in the beta build, so expect the list to be narrower than the launch list.
Does beta progress carry over to launch?
Blizzard has not said anything about carrying beta characters into the live game, and betas for Classic-team projects have historically been wiped. Plan on starting fresh on November 4. If you care about a name, the safe route is Early Name Reservation from October 27 to November 3 — any upgrade pack unlocks it, and it is first come first served.
Can I play WoW: Forever without buying a pack?
Yes, at launch. Forever is included with an active subscription or Game Time, with no separate purchase. The packs only add early access to the beta, the Skyborne race (which requires Heroic or higher), name reservation and cosmetics. A friend with a launch code from someone who owns a pack can also play November 4–11 without a subscription at all.
