Blizzard flattened trainer prices for launch so that no class pays a gold tax just for leveling. In the November 2 notes, most abilities learned at the same level cost the same no matter which class learns them, and every class ends up at 206-207 gold.
Two exceptions remain. Priests have race-specific spells that fall outside the flat pricing. Warlocks get a cheaper trainer bill because their demon Grimoires are bought separately, so their real total ends up close to everyone else's.

Skip the ranks of spells you rarely press, but not the ranks of your main damage or healing spells. On the beta, spells cast at ranks far below your level got less benefit from Spell Damage and Spell Healing and were less likely to trigger talents. That makes old ranks of your main spells worse than they used to be.
Utility spells you cast once a fight, or abilities that do the same job at any rank, are where holding off on a rank costs the least.
How much gold does riding training cost in WoW: Forever?
Riding training costs 100 or 1,000 gold depending on the riding level, and your first mount comes free when you learn the skill. Per Wowhead, Blizzard designers moved the gold cost of the mount into the training. Blizzard has not said in that interview at which character level each riding tier unlocks.
For most players riding is the biggest gold target of leveling, bigger than all class training combined. Start saving early.
How much does a talent respec cost?
Blizzard has not published launch respec prices. It has said respecs should not be cheap: the price climbs quickly with each reset and drops back once per week. The 1 silver respec on the beta was a beta-only testing price.
If you want to switch between a leveling build and a dungeon build, plan for dual specialization at level 40 instead of paying for repeated resets.
Will you have enough gold for training while leveling?
Most players will. Blizzard told 4Gamers that players will earn significantly more gold in WoW: Forever than in the original Classic. Quest rewards, vendor drops and gathering professions are the usual sources, and the 206 gold is spread over the whole climb.
Gathering helps the most. A quest at level 3-4 offers a manual for Herbalism, Mining or Skinning if you have fewer than two professions. Selling those materials early is the quickest way to cover both trainer bills and riding.
Do Warlocks and Hunters pay extra for pets?
Warlocks buy pet Grimoires separately, and Blizzard lowered their trainer cost by about that amount to keep the total in line with other classes. Blizzard's launch notes say nothing about extra trainer costs for Hunter pets, so assume Hunters pay the same 206-207 gold total.
