WoW: Forever healer tier list for dungeons
Priest and Restoration Druid rank highest for five-player dungeons because their published tools cover both tank damage and party damage. This is an editorial reading of Blizzard's class deep dives and launch notes, not measured performance data.

WoW: Forever tank tier list for dungeons
Protection Paladin and Protection Warrior rank highest for dungeons: the Paladin for holding packs, the Warrior for its interrupt and major cooldowns. Bear Druid sits close behind, mainly because its threat number changed so late.
| Tier | Tank | Why it ranks here | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Protection Paladin | Righteous Fury at level 10 gives +33% threat plus +90% threat from Holy damage, Consecration baseline at 20, Seal of Fury Judgement taunts from 10 yards | No interrupt or slow; the Seal favors a fast weapon |
| 1 | Protection Warrior | Thunder Clap in Defensive Stance on a 6-second cooldown, Vanguard allows Charge in Defensive Stance, blocks give Rage through Shield Specialization | Defiance needs a shield |
| 2 | Bear Druid | Form threat bonus raised to 115%, Frenzied Regeneration heals up to 100% of maximum health, immune to Disarm, potions work in form | Cannot interrupt, snare or silence |

Reliable rankings need level 60 data, and that barely exists yet. The beta stopped at level 30, the world-first 60 came after almost 52 hours of launch play per Wowhead, and the raids do not unlock until December 9.
Blizzard also said it expects a large tuning pass once it has enough data from players past level 30. Treat every list you read this month, including this one, as a starting point.

Priest is the safest pick for dungeons right now because it brings the widest published toolkit. Fear Ward is baseline at 20, and a Priest can choose Holy for Binding Heal and Prayer of Mending or Discipline for Penance and Divine Aegis absorbs.
Restoration Druid is the close alternative. Swiftmend no longer consumes the heal over time it needs, and Wild Growth covers the party, though Wowhead reports it gained a 3-second cast in late tuning. Its Bloom talent was only repaired by a November 6 hotfix, so expect its numbers to keep moving.
What is the best tank in WoW: Forever?
Protection Paladin is our pick for trash-heavy dungeons, and Protection Warrior is our pick for groups that need a tank who can interrupt. Blizzard states that Paladins and Druids still have no interrupt, while Warriors keep Shield Bash.
The Paladin case rests on threat. Righteous Fury comes at level 10, Consecration at 20 and Judgement carries a ranged taunt. Consecration deals its moderate damage only to the first four enemies, so oversized pulls need extra care.
The Warrior case rests on cooldowns. Shield Wall, Retaliation and Recklessness no longer share a cooldown, and Rage from damage taken now ignores Armor and absorbs. That makes Warrior the steadier choice when a pull goes wrong.
Do these tiers matter for normal dungeon runs?
Tier gaps matter less than crowd control, threat and group discipline in Forever dungeons. Every spec here can do the job, because dungeons have one difficulty with no scaling, and you can out-gear them.
Blizzard's Clay Stone said dungeon bosses have only two mechanics. In practice, a tank who marks targets and a healer who manages mana will beat a higher-tier spec played carelessly, so pick the role you enjoy. Any interrupt-less tank just needs a DPS assigned to that job before the pull.
Which race is best for a tank or healer?
Race is a small bonus for tanks and healers, so choose your class first. Tauren Endurance gives +5% Health and Dwarf Stoneform reduces Physical damage taken, while the Human Spirit passive gives +10% Spirit, which suits Mana-from-Spirit healing.
Priests feel racial choice the most, since each race has two racial spells. Human Divine Grace is an instant emergency heal on an ally below 50% health, and Gnome Contingency Plan is a ward that fires when its target drops below 35%.
Will the rankings change soon?
Yes, expect changes, but not necessarily in the next patch. Blizzard's class changes planned for November 10 name Hunter pets, Warlock Voidwalkers, Affliction Warlock and Enhancement Shaman, and no tank or healer spec appears in that post.
Blizzard said it does not plan big tuning before the raids open, bugs and serious outliers aside. Shaman and Druid talents are on the radar for early next year, per Kris Zierhut in the Crix interview. That patch is the point where this list is most likely to shift.

Frequently asked questions
Is there an official WoW: Forever tier list?
No. Blizzard has not published a tier list for Forever, and its stated goal is for every class to feel valuable to a group rather than for all specs to be equal. Lists online are opinions from early play and published talents, so check when each one was updated and what evidence it uses.
What is the easiest healer to learn in WoW: Forever?
Blizzard does not rank healers by difficulty, so this is a judgment call. Priest is a sensible first healer because its tools are familiar and it can choose between Holy and Discipline. Restoration Druid suits players who like planning heals over time ahead of damage. Mana discipline matters on either class.
Can Shaman tank in WoW: Forever?
No, Shaman is not a tank class in Forever. Blizzard told JackedIQ that Shaman tanks are a popular discussion inside the team, but it is not officially pursuing them right now. Dungeon tanking currently falls to Warriors, Paladins using Seal of Fury, and Druids in Bear Form.
Can Paladins tank in WoW: Forever?
Yes. Protection Paladins tank with Seal of Fury, which favors fast weapons, adds small absorbs and makes Judgement a ranged taunt. Righteous Fury is trained at level 10 and adds threat, and Consecration is baseline at 20. Paladins still have no interrupt, so groups should assign that job to someone else.
Does WoW: Forever have dual spec for tanks and healers?
Yes. Dual specialization is available at level 40, and a Blizzard developer has only floated a lower level without announcing a change. It suits hybrids who want a damage spec for questing and a tank or healer spec for groups. Other talent changes happen at a class trainer in a major city.
Which healer is best for WoW: Forever raids?
Nobody can say yet, because the raids do not unlock until December 9. Barrow Deeps needs 10 players, Hyjal Summit 20 and Onyxia's Lair 40, so healer needs will differ across them. Raid-wide Shaman totems and party healing look useful on paper, but real encounter data will settle this.
