WoW: Forever is a brand-new, permanent level-60 version of the game — "Classic+" — launching November 4, 2026 with three new zones, nine new dungeons, two new raids and the Skyborne race, while Anniversary realms are a progression track that replays the original expansions in order. Choose Forever if you want fresh content built around vanilla's design; choose Anniversary if you want to keep moving through Burning Crusade and the expansions that follow.

Is WoW: Forever the same as Classic+?

Yes — "Classic+" is the community's shorthand, and Forever is what Blizzard built under that idea. It sits alongside Modern (retail) and Classic as a third experience, made by the Classic team and set in WoW's first year. The difference from every other Classic flavor is the promise: the cap stays at 60 forever, and the game grows sideways with new patches instead of upward with expansions.

Everything at launch is new rather than remixed: 1,000+ quests, a floating Skyborne starting island (Zephras Isle, levels 1–12), the Riverglades leveling zone in the Eastern Kingdoms (30–45, 150+ quests, new reputations, a neutral goblin port) and Mount Hyjal as the endgame zone. Spring 2027 already lists two more raids, two dungeons and a legendary questline.

What happens to Anniversary realms when Forever launches?

Blizzard has not said. Realm names, realm types, regions and the future of Classic Era, Anniversary and Season of Discovery realms were all left out of the announcement, and nothing about characters or progress "carrying over" between versions has been published. Until that changes, the safe assumption is that Anniversary keeps running its expansion progression on its own track and Forever is a separate, fresh start for everyone.

Does Forever have Molten Core and the original raids?

Unknown. The two confirmed launch raids are Barrow Deeps (10-player, three entrances, one on Mount Hyjal) and Hyjal Summit (20-player), with 40-player Onyxia's Lair unlocking alongside them on December 9. Whether Molten Core, Blackwing Lair or the other original raids exist at launch has not been announced. Summer 2027 mentions a "revamped iconic raid", which is the closest hint on the roadmap.

Which one should a returning player pick?

If the reason you left Classic was "I've done vanilla, I know every quest", Forever fixes exactly that — new zones, nine dungeons with unpublished boss lists, reworked talents without the +1–2% filler rows, opt-in transmog, HD/SD graphics toggles and a new Camping system. If what you love is the expansion arc — Outland, Northrend, the cap going up — Anniversary is the only one of the two that delivers it, because Forever will never leave 60.

Two practical notes: Forever has no level scaling and no flying, so leveling is the long, old-school kind. And the Skyborne race is locked behind the Heroic Pack or higher; the base experience costs nothing beyond your subscription.

If you would rather have a vetted human player handle the grind, PewPewShop is taking Forever pre-orders until November 4 — Power Leveling 1–60 from EUR 137.2 (boosters quote 2–3 weeks at launch), Dalaran Dungeon Runs from EUR 16, and Barrow Deeps raid clears from EUR 35 once raids open December 9. No bots, no cheats, long zero-ban record.
