Barrow Deeps is one of the two new raids shipping with World of Warcraft: Forever — a 10-player raid with three separate entrances, one of them in the new Mount Hyjal endgame zone. Per Blizzard's roadmap it unlocks on December 9, 2026, five weeks after Forever launches on November 4, alongside the 20-player Hyjal Summit and the 40-player Onyxia's Lair.

What is confirmed is the shape of the raid, not its insides. Blizzard showed the 10-player format and the three-entrance layout at BlizzCon, but has not released a boss list, loot tables or an attunement. Anyone quoting specific bosses or drop rates right now is guessing.

Blizzard has confirmed three entrances, and the only one placed on a map so far is in Mount Hyjal — the new endgame zone that also hosts the Hyjal Summit raid. The other two entrance locations have not been named. The name itself points to the old Barrow Dens under Hyjal from Warcraft lore, so expect the raid to sit beneath the mountain rather than on it.
Getting to Hyjal in Forever means walking or riding — there are no flying mounts in this version. Until the zone is live, the exact path in is unknown.
Why does WoW: Forever have a 10-man raid?
Forever is built by the Classic team as a third WoW experience next to Modern and Classic, and it deliberately mixes raid sizes: 10 for Barrow Deeps, 20 for Hyjal Summit, 40 for Onyxia. A 10-player raid is the easiest one to fill with a guild or a friends group and the most forgiving on scheduling, which is likely why it launches first-tier alongside the bigger ones.
The roadmap keeps that pattern going. Spring 2027 adds another 10-player and another 20-player raid, and summer 2027 brings a revamped iconic raid plus a new one.
When can I actually raid Barrow Deeps?
Forever launches November 4, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. PST, worldwide, with the level cap at 60. Raids open December 9. That gives roughly five weeks to level, gear from the nine new dungeons, and sort out professions before the doors open. Boosters who run Forever leveling quote 2–3 weeks for a full 1–60 at launch, so a casual player should still be raid-ready by December if they start on day one.
Beta runs September 17 – October 21, but it is capped at level 30, so Barrow Deeps will not be testable there.
Is Barrow Deeps the same as the Barrow Dens or Darkshore's barrow den?
No. Classic already has small Barrow Den caves (in Darkshore and Moonglade) used for quests and druid content. Barrow Deeps is a new, separate 10-player raid instance created for Forever. The shared name is a lore nod, not the same place.
