Dalaran in World of Warcraft: Forever is a new city-dungeon for levels 20–35, one of nine dungeons launching with the game on November 4, 2026. It is the first time the mage city is a playable instance at this level range. Blizzard has not published its boss list or loot yet, so anyone giving you a boss order right now is guessing.
Dalaran dungeon: quick facts
| Level range | 20–35 |
| Type | City-dungeon (the dungeon is the city itself, not a wing beneath it) |
| Game version | World of Warcraft: Forever (the third WoW experience next to Modern and Classic, often called Classic+) |
| Available from | November 4, 2026, 3:00 p.m. PST worldwide, with any active subscription or Game Time |
| Beta | September 17 – October 21, 2026, but beta characters cap at level 30, so only the lower half of the bracket is testable |
| Bosses / loot | Not published by Blizzard |
| Faction | Not announced as faction-locked (Lordaeron and Hall of Thanes are the two faction-flavoured ones) |
The 20–35 bracket makes Dalaran the widest early-game dungeon in Forever. It sits above Lordaeron (15–20) and Hall of Thanes (13–18) and below the 40–60 trio of Alcaz Island Prison, The Shaper's Terrace and Krol'Dok Stronghold. For a fresh character that is roughly the second or third instance you will step into, and you can keep running it across a long stretch of levels rather than outgrowing it in two sessions.

Not in original Classic, Classic Era or the Anniversary realms. In those versions Dalaran is a purple-domed bubble in Alterac Mountains you can look at but never enter. The city-dungeon is new content built by the Classic team specifically for Forever, alongside the Riverglades leveling zone, Mount Hyjal as an endgame zone, and the two new raids. If you are searching for a Dalaran dungeon on a Classic Era server, you will not find one — you need Forever.
What level should I be to run Dalaran in WoW: Forever?
Blizzard lists it at 20–35. Forever has no level scaling, so the instance does not adjust to you: at 20 you are at the bottom of the range and will want a full group with a tank and healer who know their kit; by the low 30s it becomes comfortable. Because the bracket is so wide, expect the early bosses to be tuned lower than the later ones, the way Blackrock Depths ramps in original Classic — but that is an inference, not a published detail.
What other dungeons come with WoW: Forever?
Nine new dungeons ship at launch. Alongside Dalaran: Lordaeron (15–20, Horde-flavoured, Alliance can enter), Hall of Thanes (13–18, Alliance-flavoured, Horde can enter), Excavation Site in the Wetlands, The Drowned City (a troll ruin off Stranglethorn Vale), Alcaz Island Prison, The Shaper's Terrace, Krol'Dok Stronghold (all high level, 40–60), and Blackmaw Hold, a furbolg city. Whether the original Classic dungeons remain in their familiar form has not been detailed. The spring 2027 roadmap adds two more dungeons, and summer 2027 another two.
When can I actually play it?
Launch is November 4, 2026. If you have the Skyborne Epic Pack or the Warcraft Forever Collection, the beta runs September 17 to October 21 — level-capped at 30, so you can test the lower half of Dalaran but not the top end. Name reservation and character creation open October 27 through November 3 with any upgrade pack, up to three characters. Nothing extra is required to play Forever itself beyond an active subscription or Game Time.
Getting through Dalaran without the pickup-group lottery
If you would rather run the mage city with a group that already knows the pulls than wait in a level-25 LFG queue, PewPewShop offers a Dalaran Dungeon Run (20–35) from EUR 16 as a Forever pre-order, or a Forever Dungeon Run for any dungeon from EUR 12. All runs are done with vetted human players — coaching, play-together or rent-a-pro, no bots, no cheats — and bookings are open until launch on November 4.
