Does Classic Plus Add New Classes? What WoW: Forever Confirmed

No new classes were announced for Classic Plus. World of Warcraft: Forever launches November 4, 2026 with the original nine Classic classes — Warrior, Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Shaman, Mage, Warlock and Druid — plus two new race-class combos (Forsaken Paladin and Dwarf Shaman) and the new Skyborne race. Blizzard's BlizzCon panel said nothing is off the table, not even new classes, for later patches.

Classic Plus classes at a glance

Every class gets a rework rather than a replacement. Blizzard called out Paladins specifically: a seal built for tanking, more group healing, and a full Retribution toolkit. Talent trees across the board are moving away from +1–2% filler nodes, and the Legacy system lets you unlock talent points from level 9 (still capped at 51 total). So even without a tenth class, the Classic Warrior or Mage you remember will play noticeably differently in Forever.

Is Death Knight in Classic Plus?

No. Death Knight was not announced for Forever, and Blizzard has not said it is coming. The story is set after Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core, which is well before the Lich King's Death Knights joined the player roster in the original game's timeline. If you want an undead melee character with plate armor, the closest confirmed option is the new Forsaken Paladin.

Treat any leak or rumor that lists Death Knight as a Classic Plus class as unverified. Only Blizzard's published material counts, and as of September 2026 it lists nine classes.

Is there a Bard class in Classic Plus?

No. Bard was not mentioned at BlizzCon 2026, on the Forever roadmap, or in Blizzard's panel recap. The Bard is a long-running community joke and wish-list item, not part of Forever's launch or its Spring and Summer 2027 patches as currently described. Those patches list new raids, dungeons, a legendary questline and PvP season refreshes — no new classes.

What are the Forsaken Paladin and Dwarf Shaman?

They are the two new race-class combinations Blizzard confirmed. Forsaken Paladins put the Light in the hands of the Undead for the first time on Horde, and Dwarves finally get Shaman on the Alliance side. Both use the standard revamped class kits rather than a separate spec, so a Forsaken Paladin has the same tanking seal, healing and Retribution options as a Human or Dwarf one.

Both combos are available at launch on November 4, and you can reserve names and create characters from October 27 with any upgrade pack (up to three characters).

Which classes can the Skyborne play?

All Skyborne, Horde or Alliance, can be Warrior, Hunter, Rogue or Druid, with unique sky-blue druid forms. Horde Skyborne (Windshaper) can also roll Shaman; Alliance Skyborne (High Order) can also roll Mage. Racials shared by both sides include Walk on Air (a 10-second downward glide), Wind Blessed (+1% haste) and Elemental Insight (+5% damage to Elementals). Playing the race requires the Skyborne Heroic Pack or higher, and their 1–12 start is Zephras Isle, a floating island.

Will new classes come to Forever later?

Possibly, but nothing is scheduled. The Classic team's exact framing was that nothing is off the table, including new classes. Since Forever grows through patches with no level-cap increase, a class added down the line would slot into the same level-60 endgame. Until Blizzard posts it on the official WoW: Forever forum category or roadmap, treat it as unknown.
