There is no in-game M+ score calculator — Blizzard shows your Mythic+ rating on the Group Finder and Dungeons tab, but it won't project what a run is worth. To calculate it yourself, add your best timed and untimed score for every dungeon, then weight the higher of the two runs at 1.5 and the other at 0.5. Third-party sites (Raider.IO, Mythic+ planners) automate exactly this math.

How the math actually works

  1. Every dungeon scores twice. You get a score for each affix rotation (the two weekly variants), so a full season means two runs per dungeon, not one.
  2. Weight the two halves. Your better run in a dungeon counts at 1.5x, your weaker run at 0.5x. That's why one huge key plus one blank slot is worth far less than two solid keys.
  3. Base score rises with key level. Each level up adds a fixed chunk of rating on top of the previous level's value.
  4. Timing matters, failing doesn't zero you. Beating the timer adds a bonus that scales with how far under par you finish; blowing the timer still awards a reduced score rather than nothing.
  5. Sum every dungeon. Your account-wide season total is simply the sum of all per-dungeon weighted scores.

The fastest way to find your gap

  • Open your Raider.IO profile and sort dungeons by score — your lowest two entries are the cheapest points on the board.
  • Look for dungeons where one affix side is blank. Filling an empty slot is worth more than pushing your best key one level higher.
  • Subtract your current total from your target (Keystone Master and Keystone Hero sit at fixed season thresholds), then divide by the number of dungeons to see the average key level you need across the board.
  • Re-check the title cutoff late in the season — the top-0.1% title line moves with the playerbase, unlike the fixed Master/Hero achievements.

Why does my score barely move when I push a key higher?

Because you're probably improving a run that already counts at 1.5x while a 0.5x slot sits empty or low. Upgrading your best key by one level adds a small fraction of that level's base value, while filling a missing affix side adds half of the entire run's worth.

Practical rule: get both affix sides done in every dungeon at a comfortable level before you chase a personal-best key.

Does an untimed key still give score?

Yes. Depleting a key still awards rating — noticeably less than a timed run, but well above zero. A completed +12 that runs over the timer usually beats a timed key several levels lower.

So don't bail out of a run at the first wipe. Finishing is almost always worth more than the twenty minutes you'd spend restarting.

Is Mythic+ score account-wide or per character?

Your rating is tracked per character. The Keystone Master and Keystone Hero achievements are the account-wide part — earn them once and the mount or reward is yours, but each alt builds its own score from zero.

What score do I need for the seasonal title?

Keystone Master and Keystone Hero are fixed numbers announced each season, so you can plan for them precisely. The seasonal title is a percentile cut of the whole ladder, which means the required score climbs all season as more players push. Check the live cutoff monthly rather than aiming at last season's number.
