Tarnished Undermine Reals are returning in World of Warcraft: Forever. Blizzard confirmed the Season of Discovery dungeon currency comes back, but has not said how you earn or spend it in Forever. In SoD they dropped from max-level dungeon bosses and were traded to a vendor for gear; expect a dungeon-driven loop, but treat the details as unconfirmed until launch on November 4, 2026.
Quick facts
| Status | Confirmed returning — mentioned in Blizzard's post-BlizzCon interviews, per Wowhead's written recaps (September 17, 2026) |
| Origin | Season of Discovery, where Reals were the level-60 dungeon currency |
| How you earn them in Forever | Not published. Blizzard named the currency, not the source |
| What they buy in Forever | Not published. No vendor list, no item list, no costs |
| Launch | November 4, 2026, 3 p.m. Pacific, included with a normal WoW subscription |
| Dungeon rules | Single difficulty, no scaling, no Flex — nine new dungeons plus every original one |
That is the whole confirmed picture. Anyone quoting a drop rate, a boss list or a price for Forever Reals right now is guessing.

In SoD they were the max-level dungeon reward beyond loot: bosses in the level-60 dungeons handed out Reals, and you carried them to a vendor to fill gaps in your gear before or alongside raiding. The point was to give a five-man run a payout even when the boss dropped nothing your character could use, and to make the old dungeons worth repeating.
Forever is built by the same Classic team, so the name coming back suggests a similar goal: keep dungeons relevant at 60. Whether the exchange rate, the vendor or the item pool matches SoD is unknown, and the team has already shown it is willing to rewrite Classic systems rather than copy them.
Does WoW: Forever have badges like Burning Crusade?
No badge system has been announced. Tarnished Undermine Reals are the only dungeon currency Blizzard has mentioned, so if you are searching for "wow forever badges", Reals are the closest thing. The other returning dungeon-adjacent reward is the Waylaid Supplies crate system (Azeroth Commerce Authority for Alliance, Durotar Supply and Logistics for Horde), which also comes back from SoD.
What Blizzard did publish is that every dungeon drop has been re-examined, hundreds of new drops were added, and unique dungeon boss items are now blue (Rare) quality with better set bonuses. So the dungeon loot itself is stronger before any currency is counted.
Which dungeons will you be running for them?
Forever ships with nine new dungeons on top of the full original list: Hall of Thanes (13–18, beneath Ironforge), Ruins of Lordaeron (15–20), City of Dalaran (20–35), an Excavation site in the Wetlands, Drowned City off Stranglethorn Vale, Blackmaw Hold (a furbolg city), and three for 40–60: Alcaz Prison, Shaper's Terrace and Krol'dok Stronghold. Boss lists and loot tables are not out yet.
Because there is no level scaling, gear overtakes dungeons the old-fashioned way — you can out-gear content and clear it faster, which is exactly the kind of loop a repeatable currency is designed for. Raids arrive later: Barrow Deeps (10-player), Hyjal Summit (20-player) and Onyxia's Lair (40-player) all unlock on December 9, 2026 per Blizzard's roadmap, with no attunement required at launch.
Is "Undermine Reals Classic Plus" the same thing?
Yes. "Classic Plus" and "Classic+" are community shorthand for World of Warcraft: Forever, the third WoW experience next to Modern and Classic. It is realmless — you pick a ruleset (Normal, PvP, Roleplaying, or Hardcore after launch), not a server — and the level cap stays at 60 for good, with new content arriving in patches. Any "Classic Plus Reals" guide is talking about Forever.
If you would rather have the dungeon grind handled with a vetted human group while you focus on what you enjoy, PewPewShop takes Forever pre-orders now: any-dungeon runs from EUR 12, the new 40–60 dungeons from EUR 22, and Forever Pre-Raid Gearing from EUR 59 — coaching and play-together with experienced players, no bots.
