Blueprint recipes in WoW: Forever are the advanced Camping recipes that drop from specific dungeon bosses. Blizzard has confirmed three so far: the Alchemy Lab, the Tanning Rack (needed for advanced Leatherworking) and upgraded Campfires that let Cooks build a fire holding five or ten objects instead of three. Which boss drops which Blueprint has not been published — only the source, dungeon bosses, is official.

Quick facts that are confirmed by Blizzard's Deep Dive recap (September 13, 2026):

  • The old Cooking Fire becomes a Basic Campfire. It holds up to three crafted objects from nearby players, one object per player, on a shared one-hour cooldown.
  • Every profession gets three campsite objects at different skill levels, each with its own buff — for example the Blacksmith Sharpening Wheel (+Attack Power), the Tailor Faction Banner (+Spirit) and the Herbalist Incense Candle (+Intellect). These are variants of class buffs and do not stack with them.
  • The first-tier objects are learned at profession skill 20 from camping NPCs or your profession trainer. No dungeon needed.
  • The advanced tier comes from Blueprint recipes, which drop from specific dungeon bosses. Blizzard named the Alchemy Lab, the Tanning Rack and the upgraded Campfires as examples.
  • Boss lists, loot tables and drop rates for Forever's nine new dungeons have not been released. Any site listing an exact boss for a Blueprint today is guessing.

Which dungeons could drop Blueprints?

Blizzard has not said. What we do know is the dungeon roster: nine new instances — Hall of Thanes (13–18), Ruins of Lordaeron (15–20), City of Dalaran (20–35), the Excavation Site in the Wetlands, Drowned City off Stranglethorn, Blackmaw Hold, and the 40–60 trio of Alcaz Prison, Shaper's Terrace and Krol'dok Stronghold — plus every original Classic dungeon returning with re-examined loot and hundreds of new drops. Blueprints could sit in any of them.

A reasonable expectation is that recipes gating advanced professions land somewhere mid-level or higher, since first-tier objects already unlock at skill 20. But that is inference, not a published fact. Blizzard's live Q&A on September 17 and the beta (September 17 – October 21, capped at level 30) are the earliest places real drop data will surface.

What does the Alchemy Lab do in WoW: Forever?

The Alchemy Lab is the Alchemist's advanced campsite object, unlocked by a Blueprint dropped in a dungeon. Like other campsite objects, it is placed at a campfire, provides a one-hour buff to players who use it, and acts as a profession workspace. Exact buff values and crafting reagents have not been published.

Why does Leatherworking need the Tanning Rack?

Blizzard stated the Tanning Rack is required for advanced Leatherworking. Read that as a progression gate: Leatherworkers who want the higher tier of Forever's 600+ new recipes will need to acquire the Tanning Rack Blueprint from its dungeon boss, craft the rack and set it up at a campfire. Whether it also serves as a buff object for other players at the campsite has not been detailed.

How do upgraded Campfires work for Cooks?

A Basic Campfire holds three objects. Cooks who learn the upgraded Campfire Blueprints can build fires that hold five or ten, which matters for raid or dungeon groups that want a Sharpening Wheel, Incense Candle, Faction Banner, Alchemy Lab and Tanning Rack all running at once. Since the one-hour cooldown is shared, a Cook with the ten-slot fire becomes a genuinely useful group member on the road to Hyjal Summit and Barrow Deeps, which open December 9, 2026.

What else does a campsite give you?

Sitting by a fire gives rested status, and a campsite provides vendors, repairs and profession workspaces on top of the crafted-object buffs. Crafted food from the expanded Cooking list adds a small XP bonus and stat boosts, so Cooking and Camping are tightly linked in Forever.

If you would rather have a vetted human player run the dungeons while you learn the fights alongside them, PewPewShop offers Forever dungeon runs as pre-orders from EUR 12 for any dungeon, with the higher-level instances such as Alcaz Prison, Shaper's Terrace and Krol'dok Stronghold from EUR 22 — play-together or coaching, no bots, and a long zero-ban record.
