WoW: Forever Invite-A-Friend Launch Codes are free-play keys bundled with the paid Skyborne packs: the Heroic Pack includes 1 code, the Epic Pack and the Warcraft Forever Collection include 3. Blizzard emails them to pack owners from October 20, 2026. A friend who redeems one can play WoW: Forever from November 4 to November 11, 2026 without a subscription — a full launch week, then a subscription or Game Time is needed to continue.
Launch code quick facts
| Heroic Pack (€29.99 EU) | 1 Invite-A-Friend code |
| Epic Pack | 3 codes (also includes beta and 30 days of game time from Nov 4) |
| Warcraft Forever Collection | 3 codes (sold only until January 11, 2027) |
| Codes sent | By email, starting October 20, 2026 |
| Friend's play window | November 4 – November 11, 2026, no subscription required |
| Launch | November 4, 2026, 3:00 p.m. PST, worldwide |
| Level cap | 60 — permanent, no scaling, no flying |
Three things worth stating plainly, because the search results blur them: the codes are not beta keys, they are not sold separately, and they do not replace a subscription after November 11. Blizzard has not published the exact redemption steps yet; expect them in the email that carries the code.

Only through an Invite-A-Friend Launch Code, and only for November 4–11. Outside that week, WoW: Forever is included with an active WoW subscription or Game Time — there is no separate box price, and no standalone free tier has been announced. The Epic Pack bundles 30 days of game time starting November 4, which is why many buyers pick it over the Heroic Pack.
What happens to an invited friend's character after November 11 if they do not subscribe has not been detailed by Blizzard. Treat the week as a trial and plan to add Game Time if you want to keep going.
How do you get a WoW: Forever friend code if you didn't buy a pack?
You need someone who owns a Skyborne Heroic Pack, Epic Pack or the Collection to send you one of theirs. Codes arrive with the pack owner from October 20, so ask before then and you'll be ready on launch day. Whether codes can be transferred, sold or redeemed on brand-new Battle.net accounts has not been confirmed, so don't buy one from a stranger expecting it to work.
The cheapest legitimate route to a code is still the Heroic Pack at €29.99 — you get your own launch access via subscription plus one code to hand to a friend.
What can an invited friend actually do during launch week?
The same launch content everyone gets: three new zones (Zephras Isle, the Riverglades, Mount Hyjal), 1,000+ new quests and nine new dungeons, with the original world underneath. Early low-level dungeons like Hall of Thanes (13–18) and Lordaeron (15–20) are reachable within a week of casual play; Dalaran, the 20–35 city-dungeon, is a stretch goal. Raids are not part of the picture — per Blizzard's roadmap they open December 9, 2026.
One caveat: the Skyborne race requires the Heroic Pack or higher. Blizzard has not said whether an invited friend can roll a Skyborne, so assume the classic races plus the new Forsaken Paladin and Dwarf Shaman combos unless the email says otherwise.
Do launch codes give beta access?
No. The beta runs September 17 – October 21, 2026, is capped at level 30, and is tied to the Epic Pack or the Collection, not to invite codes. Codes only cover November 4–11 on the live game. Early Name Reservation (October 27 – November 3, up to three characters) is also a pack-owner perk, not something a code unlocks.
If your friend's free week is short on hours, PewPewShop takes Forever pre-orders until November 4 handled by vetted human players — Forever Leveling 1–30 from EUR 37.2, the Skyborne Start on Zephras Isle 1–12 from EUR 15, or a coached Dalaran Dungeon Run from EUR 16 — so the launch week is spent playing, not catching up.
