Your Conquest cap is season-long and cumulative, not a weekly limit that expires. It starts at a set number in week one and climbs by the same fixed amount at every weekly reset for the rest of the season. Skip a week and nothing is lost — that Conquest stays available, so you can cap out later in one sitting. Check your exact figure on the currency tab.
Conquest cap: the quick facts
- It is a season total, not a weekly allowance. The number you see is "Conquest earned this season / current season ceiling".
- It rises at weekly reset — Tuesday morning in the Americas, Wednesday morning in Europe.
- The weekly increase is fixed for the whole season and identical for every character and every bracket.
- Catch-up is built in. Come back after a month away and your ceiling is already several weeks higher, so a long weekend of rated play can clear the whole backlog.
- It resets between seasons. A new season starts your season total at zero, and Conquest you sat on does not carry over as Conquest — spend it before the season closes.
- Where to look: open the Currency tab on your character panel and hover Conquest, or check the bar on the PvP UI.
Fastest way to clear the cap each week
- Take the weekly PvP quest from your faction's PvP hub before you queue — it pays a chunk of Conquest for games you were going to play anyway.
- Queue the bracket you actually win in. Wins pay noticeably more than losses, so a 50% win rate in 1800 lobbies beats a 20% win rate above your level.
- Rotate brackets: Solo Shuffle, Battleground Blitz, 2v2 and 3v3 all feed the same pool, and queue times differ hugely by time of day.
- Do the PvP world content and event bonuses when they are up — they are small individually but they add up over a season.
- Spend as you go. Conquest sitting in your bag does nothing; gear and upgrades bought early make the next week's games easier.
What is the Conquest cap in Season 3 — or any specific season?
The mechanic never changes between seasons: a starting amount in week one, then a fixed weekly bump. What changes is the two numbers themselves, and Blizzard sets them per season. Your in-game currency tooltip is the authoritative source for the season you are playing right now — season lists on fan sites go stale fast when a patch adjusts catch-up.
What happens when you hit the cap?
You simply stop accruing Conquest from every source until the next reset raises the ceiling. Nothing else stops: rated wins still move your rating, still award Honor, and still fill your Great Vault PvP slots, which are counted by wins rather than by currency. Capping is not a reason to stop queueing.
Do you lose Conquest if you skip a week?
No. This is the single most misunderstood part of the system. Because the cap is cumulative, an unplayed week is deferred, not deleted. A player who plays only two weekends a month ends the season able to earn exactly as much Conquest as someone who capped every single week — they just do it in bigger chunks.
Why is my cap different from my friend's?
It usually isn't. The ceiling is account-wide per season and the same for everyone; what differs is how much of it each of you has already earned. If the bar looks different, one of you has spent time in rated play the other hasn't.
If capping every week is the part of the season you dread — the queue times, the 2am lobbies, the grind between rating pushes — PewPewShop can take it off your hands. A Weekly Conquest Cap Carry for Midnight Season 2 starts from EUR 12.99, and a broader Conquest Points Farm of any amount up to 30,000 starts from EUR 7.5, run by vetted human players who also coach and play alongside you if you want to learn the bracket rather than just bank the currency.
