Blackmaw Hold is one of the nine new dungeons arriving with World of Warcraft: Forever on November 4, 2026 — a furbolg city turned into an instanced dungeon. Blizzard has confirmed the setting and the name, but has not published its level range, boss list or loot. It is part of the Classic-team-built Classic+ game, capped at level 60 for good.

The dungeon was revealed at BlizzCon 2026 alongside the rest of Forever's launch content: three new zones, 1,000+ quests, two new raids and the Skyborne race. Everything Blizzard has said about Blackmaw Hold so far fits in one line — a furbolg city you can run as a group. If you see a site listing its bosses, drop rates or exact entrance coordinates, treat that as guesswork until Blizzard confirms it.

What level is Blackmaw Hold?

Unknown. Blizzard attached level brackets to several of the nine new dungeons — Lordaeron 15–20, Hall of Thanes 13–18, Dalaran 20–35, and the trio of Alcaz Island Prison, The Shaper's Terrace and Krol'Dok Stronghold at 40–60 — but left Blackmaw Hold, Excavation Site and The Drowned City without a stated range. Level scaling does not exist in Forever, so once the bracket is announced it will be a hard target rather than a suggestion.

Where is Blackmaw Hold?

Blizzard has not given a map location or a zone. The closest thing on the current Classic map is Timbermaw Hold, the furbolg tunnel linking Felwood, Winterspring and Moonglade — but that is a lore neighbour, not a confirmed connection. Mount Hyjal is Forever's new endgame zone and sits in the same furbolg-heavy corner of northern Kalimdor, which is why plenty of players assume Blackmaw Hold lives nearby. Assume is the operative word.

Can I try Blackmaw Hold in the Forever beta?

Only if its level range turns out to be 30 or under. Beta play is capped at level 30, so the low-bracket dungeons like Hall of Thanes and Lordaeron are the safe bets for testing, while the 40–60 instances are clearly out. Blackmaw Hold sits in the undecided column until Blizzard states a bracket. Beta access requires the Skyborne Epic Pack or the Warcraft Forever Collection.

What are the other new dungeons in WoW: Forever?

  • Dalaran — city dungeon, levels 20–35
  • Lordaeron — 15–20, Horde-themed, Alliance can enter
  • Hall of Thanes — 13–18, Alliance-themed, Horde can enter
  • Excavation Site — Wetlands
  • The Drowned City — troll ruin off Stranglethorn Vale
  • Alcaz Island Prison — 40–60
  • The Shaper's Terrace — 40–60
  • Krol'Dok Stronghold — 40–60
  • Blackmaw Hold — furbolg city, range not published

Two raids follow on December 9, 2026: Barrow Deeps (10-player, three entrances) and Hyjal Summit (20-player), unlocking together with the 40-player Onyxia's Lair. Two more dungeons are on the roadmap for spring 2027 and another two for summer 2027.
