WoW: Forever is a permanent level-60 Classic-style game with new zones, dungeons and raids added in patches, while Retail (Midnight) is the modern expansion track with flying, level scaling and a rising level cap. Both are included in one subscription — Forever launches November 4, 2026, so you can play either or both without buying another game.

Forever is built by the Classic team and set in WoW's first year, but it is not a re-release. At launch it ships three new zones (Zephras Isle, the Riverglades, Mount Hyjal), 1,000+ new quests, nine new dungeons, two new raids and a brand-new elven race, the Skyborne. All classes and specs have been reworked — Paladins get a tanking seal and a proper Retribution kit, Forsaken Paladins and Dwarf Shamans exist, and filler +1–2% talents are being removed. There are also new systems with no Retail equivalent: Camping (player-built campsites with tradeskill buffs) and Legacy (account-wide perks for leveling alts).
Power LevelingLevel any character to max without touching the grind.from 18.4 EURGet it doneIs WoW: Forever the same as Classic Plus?
Effectively, yes. "Classic+" is the community name for what Blizzard is shipping as WoW: Forever — the original world and 60 cap, plus new content that never existed in 2004–2006. It sits as a third experience next to Modern (Retail) and Classic. What happens to existing Classic Era, Anniversary or Season of Discovery realms has not been announced, so treat any claims about mergers or shutdowns as speculation.
Does WoW: Forever cost extra?
No. Any active subscription or Game Time unlocks it. The optional packs are for extras: the Skyborne Heroic Pack (€29.99 on the EU shop) adds the Skyborne race with the Zephras Isle start, early name reservation, the Cerulean Prideclaw ground mount, cosmetics and one invite code. The Epic Pack adds beta access (September 17 – October 21, level 30 cap), 30 days of game time from launch and three invite codes. The Warcraft Forever Collection stacks Warcraft III: Reforged, the Forsaken Kingdom campaign and housing figurines on top, and is sold only until January 11, 2027. Note that playing a Skyborne character requires the Heroic Pack or higher.
Which is better for a returning player: Forever or Midnight?
Pick Forever if you want slow, deliberate leveling, a world you have to walk through, fixed-size raids and no catch-up pressure — the cap never moves, so nothing you earn gets invalidated by the next expansion. Pick Midnight if you want fast queues, flexible raid sizes, flying and a constantly updated endgame. Leveling in Forever is a real time investment: boosters quote 2–3 weeks for a full 1–60 at launch, and there is no level scaling to let you skip zones.
What endgame does Forever have at launch?
Dungeons are live on day one, including the high-level Shaper's Terrace and Krol'Dok Stronghold (40–60) and Blackmaw Hold. Raids unlock on December 9, 2026 per Blizzard's roadmap: Barrow Deeps (10-player, three entrances), Hyjal Summit (20-player) and the 40-player Onyxia's Lair together. PvP brings back the original battlegrounds and adds The Darkspear Islands, a 15v15 map with Arathi Basin-style capture points. Spring 2027 adds two more raids and two dungeons; Summer 2027 brings a revamped iconic raid plus another new one. Whether Molten Core or Blackwing Lair exist at launch has not been confirmed.
If you want to try Forever without grinding the whole 1–60 yourself, PewPewShop takes pre-orders until November 4 — Forever Power Leveling 1–60 from EUR 137.2, Dalaran Dungeon Run (20–35) from EUR 16, and Barrow Deeps Raid clears from EUR 35 once raids open on December 9. Every order is played by vetted human players, with Self-Play options if you would rather learn the reworked classes hands-on.
