Zephras Isle 1–12 Guide: The Skyborne Start in WoW: Forever

Zephras Isle is the new level 1–12 starting zone for the Skyborne race in World of Warcraft: Forever — a floating island with Skywall-inspired architecture, playable from Forever's worldwide launch on November 4, 2026. Only Skyborne characters start there, and rolling one requires the Skyborne Heroic Pack (€29.99) or a higher edition. Blizzard has not yet published a quest list, so a step-by-step route does not exist anywhere yet — here is everything that is actually confirmed.

What we know about the Skyborne 1–12 experience

• Skyborne are an elven race, and they are not neutral: you pick Alliance (High Order) or Horde (Windshaper) at creation, and both variants leave Zephras Isle for their faction's world.
• Every Skyborne can be a Warrior, Hunter, Rogue or Druid, with unique sky-blue druid forms. Horde Skyborne can also be Shaman; Alliance Skyborne can also be Mage.
• Racials that matter while leveling: Walk on Air (a 10-second downward glide — handy on a floating island), Wind Blessed (+1% haste) and Elemental Insight (+5% damage to Elementals). Alliance adds Read Ley Line (+100% health and mana regen); Horde adds Skysight (+10% run speed).
• Forever has no level scaling and no flying, so 1–12 plays like classic-style questing: kill and collect quests, a hub or two, then a hand-off to the wider world.
• Legacy perks are account-wide, so a second character can benefit from things like Well Rested (+4% rested XP per rank) and Talented (talent points from level 9) if you have earned points on another character.

How do you unlock Zephras Isle and the Skyborne?

Buy the Skyborne Heroic Pack (€29.99 on the EU Battle.net shop as of September 12) or either higher edition. Forever itself is included with any active WoW subscription or Game Time — there is no separate box price. The Heroic Pack also includes early name reservation (October 27 – November 3, up to three characters), the Cerulean Prideclaw ground mount and one Invite-A-Friend launch code.

The Epic Pack adds beta access from September 17 to October 21 — capped at level 30, which means beta testers will be the first people to actually play Zephras Isle end to end.

Where do Skyborne go after level 12?

Blizzard has not said which zone Skyborne are routed to after leaving the isle. The safe assumption is the normal faction flow: Alliance heads toward the Eastern Kingdoms or Kalimdor hubs, Horde likewise on its side. The first new mid-level content is the Riverglades, a 30–45 zone in the Eastern Kingdoms with 150+ quests and a neutral goblin port. Early dungeons on the way: Hall of Thanes under Ironforge (13–18, Alliance-leaning) and Ruins of Lordaeron (15–20, Horde-leaning), with the opposite faction able to enter each.

Is there a Zephras Isle quest list or map yet?

No. As of today Blizzard has confirmed the zone's name, level band, the floating-island setting and the Skywall art direction — nothing more. Any site claiming exact quest chains, coordinates or reward tables for Zephras Isle is guessing or reporting from the closed demo. Expect real data once the beta opens on September 17; check back then.

Can non-Skyborne characters visit Zephras Isle?

Unknown. Blizzard has not stated whether the island is reachable by other races, or how travel to and from it works without flying mounts. Treat it as a Skyborne-only start until the beta shows otherwise.
