WoW: Forever launches November 4, 2026 with a hard level cap of 60, no level scaling and three new zones on top of the original Azeroth: Zephras Isle (1–12, Skyborne start), the Riverglades (30–45, Eastern Kingdoms) and Mount Hyjal (endgame). Level 1–30 through the classic starting and mid zones plus Hall of Thanes, Lordaeron and Dalaran, 30–45 in the Riverglades, then 45–60 via the old high zones and the new 40–60 dungeons.
WoW: Forever leveling route at a glance
| Levels | Where to level | New dungeons in range |
| 1–12 | Zephras Isle (Skyborne only) or your race's original starting zone | — |
| 13–20 | Original 10–20 zones for your faction | Hall of Thanes 13–18 (Alliance home dungeon, Horde can enter), Lordaeron 15–20 (Horde home dungeon, Alliance can enter) |
| 20–35 | Original 20–35 zones; Wetlands | Dalaran city-dungeon 20–35, Excavation Site (Wetlands) |
| 30–45 | The Riverglades — new Eastern Kingdoms zone, 150+ quests, new reputations, neutral goblin port | The Drowned City (troll ruin off Stranglethorn Vale), Alcaz Island Prison — exact level bands not published |
| 40–60 | Original 40–60 zones, expanded Shen'dralar content around Dire Maul, Maraudon and Razorfen Downs | The Shaper's Terrace, Krol'Dok Stronghold (high level, 40–60), Blackmaw Hold (furbolg city) |
| 60 | Mount Hyjal endgame zone; raids unlock December 9, 2026 | Barrow Deeps (10-player), Hyjal Summit (20-player), Onyxia's Lair (40-player) |
- Cap is 60 for good. Forever adds content in patches, never expansions, so every level you earn stays relevant.
- No level scaling, no flying. A 45 zone is a 45 zone; you outlevel content the old way and ride, not fly, between hubs.
- Riding skill is being updated for Forever. New numbers were not published, so budget for it but do not trust old Classic mount costs.
- Beta (September 17 – October 21) caps play at level 30, so any 30–60 route you see before launch is guesswork, including the Riverglades pacing.
Where do Skyborne characters start?
On Zephras Isle, a floating island that covers levels 1–12 and is exclusive to the new Skyborne elves. Skyborne are not neutral: Windshaper Skyborne go Horde, High Order Skyborne go Alliance. Every Skyborne can be a Warrior, Hunter, Rogue or Druid (with unique sky-blue forms); Horde Skyborne add Shaman, Alliance Skyborne add Mage.
The race itself requires the Skyborne Heroic Pack (€29.99 in the EU shop) or a higher edition. Once you leave Zephras Isle you join the normal faction zone flow, so a Skyborne Hunter and a Dwarf Hunter share the same 13–60 route.
Is the Riverglades the only way to level 30–45?
No. The Riverglades is a brand-new Eastern Kingdoms zone with 150+ quests, its own reputations and a neutral goblin port, and Blizzard positions it as the main 30–45 addition. The original 30–45 zones are still there, so you can mix the Riverglades with familiar routes if quest hubs get crowded on launch week.
Because there is no scaling, the 30–35 overlap with the Dalaran city-dungeon is worth using: run it early in the bracket, then move into the Riverglades once its quests turn yellow rather than orange.
How long does 1–60 take in WoW: Forever?
Nobody outside Blizzard has leveled past 30, so honest solo estimates do not exist yet. What is confirmed: 1,000+ new quests and nine new dungeons make the 1–60 path denser than original Classic, and dungeon leveling is a real option at every bracket from 13 up. Professional leveling teams quote 2–3 weeks for a full 1–60 at launch, which is a reasonable ceiling for a focused solo player with regular dungeon groups.
Does Legacy make alts faster?
Legacy is Forever's account-wide perk system for leveling additional characters, and the new Camping system adds campsites other players can join for tradeskill buffs. The exact perks, numbers and unlock conditions have not been published, so plan your first character as a full 1–60 and treat any alt speed-up as a bonus you will learn about at launch. Two new class combos, Forsaken Paladin and Dwarf Shaman, are natural first alts once Legacy kicks in.
