Where is Ruins of Lordaeron and who is it for?
The name points at the shattered Lordaeron capital that sits above the Undercity in Tirisfal Glades, Forsaken home turf. That is why Blizzard positions it as the Horde's first real dungeon, the mirror of Hall of Thanes under Ironforge on the Alliance side. Blizzard has not published the exact entrance, the boss roster or drop tables, so any list you see before the beta opens is guesswork.
At 15–20 it lands in the same bracket as Wailing Caverns and Shadowfang Keep, both of which return in Forever. Expect it to be the natural stop for a fresh Undead, Orc, Troll or Tauren character right after the starter zones, and a quick detour for Horde Skyborne coming off Zephras Isle.

A dungeon run means you group with vetted human players who know the pulls, hold threat and keep the pace up, while you play your own character and loot what drops. Forever's itemization makes this more than an XP shortcut: every dungeon drop was re-examined, unique dungeon boss items are now Rare (blue) quality, and hundreds of new drops were added. A clean clear at 15–20 is a genuine gear step.
There is a collection angle too. Bind-on-pickup Uncommon and Rare dungeon drops give their appearance to every eligible looter, so one full run fills your transmog wardrobe for the whole group, even if you opt out of transmog display.
Blizzard is clear that Forever keeps classic pacing: crowd control and threat matter inside dungeons, and a solo kill on an ordinary creature takes roughly 10–15 seconds. A guided run is mostly about a wipe-free clear for a character that is still learning its toolkit.
How much does it cost and is it worth it?
PewPewShop lists the Ruins of Lordaeron Dungeon Run (15–20) from EUR 12, the same starting price as Hall of Thanes and the Any Dungeon option. City of Dalaran (20–35), the next dungeon on the path, starts from EUR 16.
Honest take: a 15–20 dungeon is short, and a decent pickup group will clear it. What you are paying for is time and certainty in launch week, when everyone is stacked at the same entrance, groups fall apart mid-run and nobody has a working tank. If you are levelling several alts to farm Legacy points, a fixed-price run is cheaper than an evening of failed groups.
Can I run it in the beta or on any ruleset?
Yes to the beta. It runs September 17 – October 21 with a level 30 cap, so a 15–20 dungeon is well inside range. Access comes with the Skyborne Epic Pack or the Warcraft Forever Collection.
Nobody picks a server in Forever. You choose a ruleset, Normal, PvP or Roleplaying, with Hardcore following after launch, and rulesets do not group with each other. When you book a run, say which ruleset your character is on. Hardcore is an enclosed ruleset where a dungeon death is final, which is exactly why some players want a steady group for the first clear.
If you would rather have a vetted pro handle the pulls while you focus on your character, PewPewShop takes Ruins of Lordaeron pre-orders from EUR 12 until November 4, and dungeon runs go live from launch day. Real players, no bots or cheats, and a long zero-ban record, whether you want a coached first clear or someone to carry the tanking while you learn the room.
